However, despite the huge profits, some single small pharmacies were crushed by various policies and rents. Strong people will still live well. Now there are more and more pharmacies on the street with high density. Take our community as an example. There are about 3,000 people in a community, but there are 6 pharmacies, with an average of 500 people owning one pharmacy.

These pharmacies usually don't see many people, but they can open as usual, so how do they make a profit? I can probably get some routines from a drugstore clerk in our community by talking to them.

It is an open secret that the profit of pharmacies is high, but it is estimated that many people can't imagine how high it is. Let's take a brand of cold medicine for example. The ex-factory price of a box of this cold medicine is around 5 yuan, but it can be sold in 29 yuan in pharmacies. At present, many pharmacies are chain stores, which have scale effect and can purchase goods directly from pharmaceutical factories in batches, which can reduce costs and greatly improve profit margins. At present, I think the gross profit of drugs should be at least above 200%.

I believe everyone who has bought medicine in the hospital knows that the price of the hospital is really not low, at least it is more expensive than the pharmacy. Therefore, many people will not go to the hospital to buy the prescription, but will go to the pharmacy to buy it, which can save a lot of money.

3. sell prescriptions.

Ordinary people definitely don't know what medicine to buy when they are sick, but people in pharmacies basically have some professional qualifications and know how to prescribe some simple prescriptions. Therefore, many people will go to the pharmacy to buy medicine when they are slightly ill. The clerk of the pharmacy will advise everyone to buy some medicine, and these medicines are not just one kind, sometimes three or four combinations, which increases the sales of pharmacies.

4, selling health care products, you can also brush social security.

At present, many pharmacies sell some health care products, ranging from tens to hundreds of yuan. When someone goes to a pharmacy to buy medicine, they will sell this kind of health care product that can brush social security to customers, so many people will have the impulse to buy it when they see that they can brush social security. These health care products are definitely an important source of profit for pharmacies, and the prices of these health care products are generally relatively high. Let's take a brand of health products as an example. This brand of health care products can only sell for more than 300 yuan in Hong Kong, but it can sell for more than 700 yuan in pharmacies.

These are some things I have learned. Of course, the profit source of each drugstore is different. Some things will not be leaked to the outside world, so we can only know some superficial things.

It is often lamented that a drugstore can be seen every 100 meters in the city streets now, but a toilet may not be found every 10 kilometers. This sentence illustrates the number and scale of pharmacies in China today.

So why are there more and more pharmacies? As the old saying goes, "All the world's bustling places are for profit, and all the world's bustling places are for profit." Capital is profit-seeking. For more and more pharmacies, the most critical factor is profit. So how high is the profit of pharmacies? Borrow a popular saying in the market: "Three snatchers are not as good as one drug seller". Through this sentence, you can feel how high the profit of the pharmacy is.

Unknown is the abyss of profit.

I don't know if you have found such a situation. When we buy food from the vegetable market, we sometimes bargain with the seller, but when we go to the pharmacy to buy medicine, the pharmacy says as much as possible, and there is no possibility of bargaining. This is because ordinary people don't understand the cost of drugs, lose confidence in negotiation, and give pharmacies huge profit margins. Although there are a large number of pharmacies in the market and there is competition, due to the regulations of industry associations, the retail differences among pharmacies will not be too great. Therefore, even if the pharmacy business is average, huge profits can still be sustained. I once did credit business for a pharmaceutical chain enterprise, and the net profit rate on the report can reach 30%, which is comparable to the bank's profit rate.

Now every drugstore in the city is basically a designated retail point for medical insurance, which is essentially for the convenience of the insured groups. However, there are also pharmacies that use the idea of medical insurance cards to swipe their cards illegally. For example, a drugstore next to my work unit sells products such as rock candy and eight-treasure porridge, as well as daily necessities such as soap, shampoo and toothpaste. This makes some medical insurance users use medical insurance cards to brush out these daily necessities (supplements such as ginseng and Tianqi are recorded on credit cards, and the actual pharmacies really pay for daily necessities).

Health products are the main force.

I won't say much about health care products. Take myself as an example. Every year, I buy some supplements such as ginseng antler and occasionally drink soup. For example, during the Spring Festival every year, we will buy some nutritious oral liquid for our elders, so the sales of health care products are a main force in the profit of pharmacies. This is because I am a young group and buy less. If it is middle-aged and elderly people, it may be purchased for a long time, especially for users with medical insurance cards.

But now, whatever you care about, it's sold in a whole box. Maybe you only need a few pills, but pharmacies don't sell them casually, so we can only swallow them, which will also bring more profits to pharmacies.
