Mr. Yu, a famous scholar at that time, made a cultural journey. After visiting Dujiangyan, he climbed Mount Qingcheng and took a nap in a Taoist temple. He was recognized by the Taoist priest. At his request, he wrote a pair of couplets-"Visiting Dujiangyan and asking Qingcheng Mountain".
The "water worship" and "questions" in couplets are really wonderful. They not only accurately interpret the characteristics of the two scenic spots, but also link them together, echo each other and confirm each other, and become the most vivid classroom for studying China's Taoist philosophy. If you only look at one, you can't fully understand it.
This is a personal trip, full of expectation and a little scared. I am looking forward to entering the Taoist holy land and asking questions, but I am afraid it takes courage, experience and wisdom to travel alone for the first time.
I'm quite excited to finally see the holy land I yearn for.
Standing in front of my eyes is the gate of Qingcheng Mountain, hidden in the lush green. The gate is a typical double-eave structure of Taoism, with two eaves carved with legendary mythical figures, insects, birds and beasts, and the three gold-plated words "Mountain City Love" (read from right to left) are particularly dazzling. The couplets on both sides of the gate, "Set the current 800 scenes and climb the 36 peaks", show the characteristics of Qingcheng Mountain, giving people a sense of urgency to find out. The main color of the whole gate is dark brown, which looks solemn and heavy, while the carved objects on the eaves are brightly colored, reflecting the pioneer's thought of loving immortals and advocating nature.
Qingchengshan gate
Sitting in the cable car, I saw murals hidden in the mountains. Arranged from top to bottom, the top picture is Guanyin, and the second and third pictures I guess depict fairy tales, because Taoism likes immortals. Murals are colorful and lifelike, and they are extremely precious works of art, but why should they be "hidden" in isolated mountains? Because of "hiding", Qingcheng Mountain is more quiet.
Murals in the Woods
The ropeway is less than 1000 meters, and it takes a few minutes to get to the last stop. Then climb Mount Xiao Lao, the first peak of Qingcheng Mountain.
I saw a big shadow wall in front of the Shangqing Palace. On the front of the screen wall is written a big word "Tao" and on the back is written "Nothing on the Avenue". What the hell is Tao? More than two thousand years ago, Lao Tzu saw that the Zhou Dynasty was declining, and the world would be in chaos and he had to be born. At that time, there was a customs official named Yin, so he asked Lao Zi this question. Lao Tzu wrote a 5000-word Tao Te Ching to answer him, then took Qingniu west to Hanguguan, and never heard from him again. For more than two thousand years, people have been studying what "Tao" is, and everyone has a different understanding.
In my opinion, Tao is an eternal natural law, which is everywhere and involves all aspects. Only by following the Tao can all things in the universe prosper in an orderly way. If you violate the Tao, you will be punished and suffer the consequences. Tao embodied in human beings is virtue, which is what we often call conscience, which is the basic requirement for people to become human beings. Tao only seeks itself. We should pay more attention to what is inside us than what is outside.
Doing nothing is one of the core ideas of Laozi's Tao Te Ching, and it is also the attitude and basic law of Taoism towards society and life. Everything in the universe, including our life process, should be natural and conform to the laws of nature. So take the way of nature as an example and don't act rashly, because others will fail.
Go up a few hundred meters along the stone steps next to the zhaobi to reach the Shangqing Palace. The palace gate is a stone coupon cave with a gatehouse on it, and the word "Shangqing Palace" is neatly written on the plaque. The couplets on both sides of the palace gate are thought-provoking According to the meaning of this word, the vegetation of Qingcheng Mountain has been polluted by Taoist fairy gas now. Since ancient times, this famous mountain has nurtured many people with profound morality. Yes, in ancient times, many Taoists or literati chose to practice or live in seclusion here and become enlightened people. The legendary white snake also cultivated immortality in Qingcheng Mountain and became a good doctor to help the world.
There is also a pair of couplets outside the palace gate, which reads: "Suntech teaches you to be reasonable without words." The first part comes from the Tao Te Ching, "Sages do nothing, but teach without words". In the second part, "great achievements are lacking", like "great ingenuity and great clumsiness", shows that Taoism pursues internal accumulation rather than external glitz. "The sky is clear, the ground is flat, the gods, the valley is full, everything is animistic, and Hou thinks that the world is right" are all discussing the great role of Taoism. Without Taoism, nothing can survive. It is worthy of being a Taoist holy land, and it shows the thoughts and ideas of the pioneers everywhere.
Shangqing Palace is one of the important temples in Qingcheng Mountain. Founded in the Jin Dynasty, the existing temples were rebuilt in the early Qing Dynasty. Although magnificent, it is not luxurious, simple and natural. The existing temples are Daodejing Hall, Sanqing Hall, Yuhuang Hall and Wuwen Hall. There are nanmu's rigid Tao Te Ching, Yin Fujing and Zhang Daqian's inscriptions in the palace. On the west side outside the mountain gate, there are cliff stone carvings "the first peak in Qingcheng" and "the fifth famous mountain in the world". It is said that it is wonderful to see the holy lamp in the holy lamp pavilion of Shangqing Palace. Every summer when the sun shines brightly after the rain, after nightfall, you can see the bright spots in the mountains in Shengguangge, which is confusing. Legend has it that the fairy in Qingcheng Mountain lit a lantern when she congratulated Zhang Tianshi, so it was called the magic lamp. In fact, this is because there is more phosphorus in the mountains, the ignition point of phosphorus is low, and it is easy to spontaneously ignite when the temperature is high in summer. Unfortunately, I didn't see this scenery on this trip.
Shangqinggong
Laojun Pavilion is not far from the Shangqing Palace. It is located at the first peak of Qingcheng Mountain, also known as Xiao Lao Peak, with an altitude of1.260m.. Climbing to the top of the mountain, I feel that the world is vast, as if it is far away from the world. The mountains in the distance are like blue waves, and you can see the beautiful scenery for hundreds of miles.
The attic looks like a tower, which is 33 meters high and has nine floors. Each floor has an octagon and a round bottom, symbolizing a round place.
When I entered the attic, I saw a lotus statue of Laozi enshrined in the main hall on the first floor. I felt a sense of respect and immediately bowed down respectfully. I was silent for a long time in front of the statue of Laozi. His serene manner makes people feel more cordial. Originally, I wanted to give him a candle, and the cheapest one was 60 yuan, which was too commercialized and humiliated his old man. I will silently keep it in mind and ponder his thoughts, which is the best admiration for him.
Laojunge
Return to Shangqing Palace from Laojun Pavilion, take the left-hand aisle and go to Shi Tian Cave. ? On the way, I met a young man from Shanghai. He is about 1.8 meters tall, burly, dressed in casual clothes and carrying a camera on his shoulder. You can tell at a glance that you are a senior travel enthusiast. He said that he was traveling from Mianyang, Sichuan, and he didn't want to go down the mountain by ropeway with the group, but wanted to walk down the mountain. I said now is the time for us to go together. He said that he had been to Yingxiu, which was once the epicenter of the 5 12 earthquake, and now it is beautifully built. He said that he had been to Seda, where the sky was blue, the red house was beautiful, and there were strange celestial burial customs. He also showed me the photos in his mobile phone.
The stone steps of this road are steep and narrow, especially the big feet of Shanghai boys. It is very difficult to walk on such a mountain road. Whenever I see two-thirds of his feet hanging on the stone steps, I worry about him and remind him not to lean sideways, which can also slow down the impact on his knee joint. He did not forget to kindly remind me to pay attention to safety. Although they are strangers, they will naturally convey goodwill to each other under the same circumstances, which is caused by human nature.
A path in the forest
We came to Chaoyangdong. The temple is located under the rock wall of Xiao Lao Peak, and consists of rocks and caves. The gate faces east, and the entrance station building is an ancient suspended building. Mr. Xu Beihong, a famous painter, once wrote couplets for this cave: the ancient cave shines in the light, and there are phoenix instruments on the cliff.
chao yang shan
After visiting Ningqiao, we went to the ancestral temple. The temple is located in Tianzang Peak of Qingcheng Mountain, with its back to Xuanyuan Peak and facing Baiyun Stream. The temple is hidden among pines and cypresses. Its architectural style is similar to that of other temples, but it makes people feel mysterious and quiet. It is a good place for monasticism. According to records, Taoist priests such as Xue Chang in the Tang Dynasty, Du Guangting in the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties, Zhang Yu and Fei Yuangui in the Song Dynasty all lived in seclusion here. ?
Zushidian
After visiting Ningqiao from the ancestral temple, we went to Shi Tian Cave.
Along the way, Qingshiban Mountain Road twists and turns. The Chinese fir, nanmu and cypress trees on both sides are flourishing, and the birds on the branches are singing. The sun father-in-law warmly sprinkled a few rays of sunshine from the forest, and the sweat that had just emerged was suddenly taken away by the cool wind blowing from the forest. Pavilions built with branches, vines and bark can be seen everywhere. The materials are natural, without any artificial carving, and they are integrated with the surrounding environment. As the old saying goes, "Our predecessors planted trees, while our descendants enjoyed the cool", we should be grateful while enjoying the grace. ?
An antique pavilion
The purpose of going down the mountain is to see Shi Tian Cave, where Zhang Daoling, the founder of Taoism, gave lectures, and it is also the main Taoist landscape of Qingcheng Mountain. The Shanghainese rushed to the foot of the mountain to meet the tour group at the scheduled time, so we rushed, thinking that we missed the Shi Tian Cave, which was actually the location of the ancient road view we saw, because we didn't have time to look carefully.
Ancient Taoist temple
Along the way, there are quite a few temples named after "three", such as "three clean", "three vegetarian" and "three yellow". Why does Taoism attach so much importance to the number "three"? In fact, this is closely related to Laozi's world view of "Tao gives birth to one, life gives birth to two, life gives birth to three, and life gives birth to everything". Tao is supreme, so it is "one", including "yin and yang", so it is "two". Yin and yang combine to produce everything, so it is "three". This is the truth that "all things are negative and embrace yang, while rushing and thinking of peace".
And the Shanghainese finally arrived at the foot of the mountain at the scheduled time, and we said goodbye.
Recalling what I saw and heard when I went up and down the mountain, I thought of a question: What does Mr. Yu's inscription "Ask Qingcheng Mountain" mean?
Qingcheng Mountain is a living Taoist museum with the longest history and the most complete development of Taoism. The long history of Taoism has created the splendid Taoist culture of Qingcheng Mountain. If you want to ask, go to Qingcheng Mountain. Here, Laozi's thought of morality and classics is well inherited and carried forward, and human beings conform to the way of nature, live in harmony with nature and grow up. In Dujiangyan nearby, water serves human beings better because it conforms to the way of water. The two should confirm each other and perfectly embody the function of Tao.
Today, Taoism's ideas and concepts of keeping in good health and advocating nature are highly respected by modern urbanites with tight pace of life and people who yearn for freedom and return to nature. More and more people go to Qingcheng Mountain to explore the ancient times and explore the essence of Taoist thought, and I am one of them.
Qingcheng Mountain can't be seen enough at once. Let's make an appointment next time. I believe this is not my first visit, but I also believe it will not be the best one. People should have a grateful heart, so I decided to make a small summary of this trip, hoping to bring you some help.
