Shennongjia Bataoyuan Scenic Area is located in the northeast of Shennongjia Forest Region, in the hinterland of the golden tourist routes of "One River and Two Mountains" and "Western Hubei Eco-cultural Tourism Circle" in Hubei Province. It is the "North Gate" of Shennongjia forest area and the first stop for northern tourists to enter Shennongjia forest area. Average altitude 1300m, and average temperature in July and August is 23℃. Bataoyuan is said to be an orchard in Yan Di, and it is named after the abundant native walnut variety-Bataoyuan.

The unique geographical location and the microclimate of the canyon have created an excellent natural ecological environment for Bataoyuan Scenic Area. There are sparse open areas of forests everywhere, and the content of negative oxygen ions in the air per cubic meter has reached more than 270 thousand, which is a natural oxygen bar with high negative oxygen ions. The scenic spot is rich in water resources, which are exposed in various forms such as underground spring water, surface runoff and lakes. The water quality generally reaches the second-class water quality standard, which is clear and bright and has a unique water town flavor.

The scenic spot is deeply embedded in the core area of virgin forest, surrounded by mountains and waters, with beautiful scenery. The canyon landscape is graceful and soft, the wetland landscape is quiet and comfortable, and large and small lakes are embedded in it like jasper. The magical "Kowloon Mountain" is hidden in the forest, majestic and tall, mysterious and graceful, and there are many kinds of wild flowers and thousands of precious Chinese herbal medicines lying in the forest. The scenic spot is located on the canyon axis running through the whole region, and has successively developed such scenic spots as water sprite, Beautiful Forest, Shennong Flower Sea, Queen Sugiyama's Blessing, Chinese Herbal Plantation and Primary Begonia Garden.

In terms of natural exploration, there are professional group projects such as outdoor crossing, outdoor expansion and research topics. Outdoor entertainment, including mountain riding, surface boating, forest exploration, ice and snow entertainment and many other entertainment projects; In terms of leisure and health care, there are health care services such as drug garden sightseeing, medicinal diet tasting and soup package sales; There is also a unique "Nine Lakes Mountain Residence" wooden house B&B, which lives in nature and is far away from the hubbub, highlighting the original ecological concept.

20 16 scenic spots were selected into the list of national preferred tourism projects; 20 18 scenic spot was rated as a national 3A-level tourist scenic spot, and won the honorary titles of National Automobile Self-driving Sports Demonstration Camp and National Automobile and Motorcycle Camp. 20 19 was selected as the supporting project of Hubei Sports Industry Development Guidance Fund and won the 20 19 Tourism Innovation Award in Shennongjia Forest Region.
