Hu Yaobang's former residence exhibition hall is on a hill opposite his former residence. The exhibition hall was completed in 2006.

Covering an area of 13000 square meters, with a building area of 3800 square meters and an exhibition hall area of 2 100 square meters. With the help of modern exhibition means such as sound, light and electricity, more than 330 pictures and 170 cultural relics were exhibited, and 9 scenes reflecting Hu Yaobang's life were restored and displayed in the form of cultural relics, sculptures and wax figures.

Hu Yaobang's former residence exhibition hall is a national third-class museum, a patriotic education base in Hunan Province, a party member education base in Changsha City and a clean and honest government education base in Hunan Province. Zhonghe Town has transformed Hu Yaobang's hometown into a Hakka town by implementing projects such as facade renovation and road upgrading. White-walled and gray-tiled cornices have all entered the present neutralization, and they are full of rich Hakka customs everywhere.

According to Hakka customs, the upgrading project of Zhonghe Town will turn the whole town into a tourist town with rich ancient Hakka customs and modern red memories, which integrates folk sightseeing, dining and shopping. Form a tourism circle with the former residence of Hu Yaobang, a 4A-level scenic spot, and realize the integrated tourism development pattern of town-in-town scenery, town-in-town scenery and Qifei scenery.
