Traditional concept of health preservation
Man is by far the highest existing form of all life phenomena in the universe. Neijing clearly recognizes the special position of human beings in the universe, and points out: "Everything is overwhelming and everything is ready, so it is not expensive for people." According to China's ancient philosophy and Neijing, there are four reasons why man is above all things. First, although human beings and everything are born from the Qi of Yin and Yang in heaven and earth, human beings are not born from the general Qi, but the most essential Qi movement between heaven and earth. It can be seen that the difference between man and other creatures lies in the difference in material composition. Second, human beings have more advanced and complicated life activities than other creatures. God is the function and expression of life. Although there are "gods" in things, only human beings not only have external signs such as complex language and rich expressions that other animals can't match, but also have highly developed intelligence and self-adjustment ability. Thirdly, because of the existence of spirit and consciousness, human beings can understand and master objective laws and use them to explore the mysteries of life in order to preserve health and treat diseases. The so-called: "Yin and Yang are the foundation of all things, saints nourish Yang in spring and summer, and nourish Yin in autumn and winter to follow their roots." It is pointed out that the four seasons of birth, growth, harvest and hiding are natural and the law of yin and yang changes of human body, which must be followed if you want to keep fit. Only by mastering the laws of nature can we use them to promote or maintain life activities. Fourth, people have social attributes, and people's lives and diseases are closely related to the social environment. Therefore, the author of Neijing pays special attention to the prevention and treatment of mental illness, requiring people to "be quiet and empty", "be idle and want less, feel at ease without fear" and "eat well, raise well and enjoy its customs". Only in this way can we "live to the age of 100 and move on"
