Appreciate thousands of miles of rivers and mountains
A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains is a silk ink painting created by Jiang Shen in the Southern Song Dynasty. This painting depicts the scenery of Jiangnan in ink painting. The peaks are mixed and the mountains are endless. The river is vast and the valleys are far away. The vegetation is lush and the trees in the distance are hazy. Buildings crisscross, farmhouses belong to each other, thousands of miles apart, and the realm is open. In this long scroll, there is a winding path running through it. In the picture, mountains, water, bridges, pavilions, villages, plank roads and people are all arranged around this mountain road. Therefore, although the scenery is numerous and endless, it can be found. The picture adopts Pingyuan composition, and the artistic conception is open. The picture shows "distant mountains and bushes, misty trees and shadows, near Wan Li, and rivers running." The short and long river banks, the high and low river winds, the sudden river ambition and the sudden flood of waterfalls. It is a landscape painting with rich brushstrokes, profound artistic conception and profound knowledge.
