What is "North China Green Lung"

Pangquangou Nature Reserve is located at the junction of the northwest of Jiaocheng County and the northeast of fangshan county, in the middle of Lvliang Mountains, with a length of 15 km from north to south and a width of 14.5 km from east to west, with a total area of 10443.5 hectares and a forest coverage rate of 74%. There are natural secondary forests such as Larix principis-rupprechtii and spruce. This is one of the eight bird protection areas in China, the habitat of the rare bird Brown pheasant endemic to China, and the "hometown of Larix principis-rupprechtii". Wenyu River originates from here and traverses the whole territory, forming a hundred miles golden tourist corridor as the birthplace of Wenyu River, which is a rare oasis on the Loess Plateau. The annual average temperature is 4.3℃, the relative humidity is 70%, the monthly average negative oxygen ion concentration is 1354 ~ 2 174/cm3, and the annual average negative oxygen ion concentration is 1738/cm3. Negative oxygen ions reach more than 5000 /cm3, which has the functions of enhancing immunity and antibacterial ability and rehabilitation treatment for human health, and has the inherent advantages of building "negative oxygen ion breathing area", "forest hospital" and other recuperation and health care places.
