Laoshan, located in Laoshan District in the east of Qingdao, is more than 40 kilometers away from the city center. It stands on the coast of the Yellow Sea, magnificent, with mountains and seas interlaced, changing blue light and clouds. It is a famous seamount and one of the first national key scenic spots identified by the State Council.

Laoshan Mountain is located at 36 05' ~ 3619' north latitude and120 24' ~120 42' east longitude, with a total area of 446 square kilometers. The coastline is 87.3 kilometers long, and the main peak "Giant Peak" is 1 132.7 meters above sea level.

Laoshan Mountain was formed in Cretaceous hundreds of millions of years ago. According to the natural trend, it can be divided into jufeng branch, sanbiao mountain branch, Shimen mountain branch and Wushan branch. Throughout the ages, Laoshan Mountain has been known as "the wonders of mountains and seas".

Laoshan Mountain is located in a warm temperate zone, with a warm and humid climate, no severe cold in winter and no heat in summer. Outstanding performance is the climate characteristics of "cool in spring, warm and late, warm and rainy in summer, cool in autumn and warm and rainy in winter". Due to the steep mountains and complex terrain, a microclimate with different up and down and different inside and outside is formed. Taiqing Palace in the south of the mountain is called "Little Jiangnan", and Beijiushui in the north of Giant Peak is called "Little Guandong". The meteorological landscape of Laoshan Mountain is quite distinctive. In summer and autumn, it is like a sea of clouds with endless changes. In spring and early summer, the misty sea fog adds infinite scenery to Laoshan Mountain.

In the summer of Laoshan Mountain, the main colors are dark green, grass green, tree green, mountain green and water green, all of which are green. Green mountains and rivers make it impossible to embrace this vibrant season with open arms. Autumn in Laoshan Mountain is a lively red, bright and strong. "Stop and sit in the maple forest late, and the frost leaves are red in February." The red leaves all over the mountains, like clusters of burning flames, are warm and bright, and they are very bright throughout the autumn. Among them, the golden yellow of fallen leaves is also an indispensable ornament. In winter, Laoshan Mountain is a snowy world, with green trees and flowers, ice sculptures of snow sculpture, wrapped in white, and extraordinarily enchanting.
