How to raise hibiscus flowers in winter?
1, keep the temperature.

The suitable dormancy temperature of hibiscus in winter is 5℃ ~ 65438 05℃. If the room temperature is higher than 15℃, the plant will not fully dormancy, which will inevitably affect the next year's flowering; But below 5℃, it is vulnerable to freezing injury. In addition, pay attention to the temperature of water when watering. The difference between water temperature and air temperature is too large (above 5℃), which is easy to damage the root system. Therefore, it is best to dry the water for watering flowers for a day when the water temperature is close to the indoor temperature.

2. Appropriate fertilization

Potted hibiscus prefers loose, fertile and well-drained slightly acidic soil, but low temperature in winter reduces the demand for fertilizer, and fertilization should be controlled in June 5438- 10. A thin layer of dry fertilizer, such as coarse cake powder and sauce residue powder, can be sprinkled on the surface of basin soil. It is necessary to reduce the amount of nitrogen fertilizer applied to avoid excessive growth of branches and leaves and further affect physiological dormancy. If the leaves turn yellow, the concentration of irrigation can be 0. 3% ferrous sulfate aqueous solution to improve soil physical and chemical properties.

Step 3 control watering

During hibernating indoors, the basin soil should be wet and clear, and watering should be controlled to keep the basin soil slightly wet. Generally, water every 5 days ~ 10 day, and the amount of water should not be too much to avoid root rot caused by low temperature and high humidity soil environment. The winter climate in the north is dry, and leaves are often yellow and dead. Attention should be paid to improving indoor air humidity. Spraying branches and leaves or covering with plastic film can be used to increase the air humidity around plants and create suitable humidity conditions for their growth.

4, reasonable pruning

Pruning can adjust the tree shape, form a reasonable tree structure, control unnecessary vegetative growth and promote tissue enrichment. Therefore, Fusang should be trimmed at least once from half a month after entering the house to the next spring before leaving the house. Generally, the branches are about 10 cm, and the other branches are cut short. After germination, leave two lateral branches on each branch and cut off the other branchlets. For older plants, it can be extremely heavy and short cut, that is, only 2 ~ 3 buds are left at the base of each lateral branch, and all the upper parts are cut off. Pay attention to the inner and outer orientation of the remaining buds when pruning, so as to control the growth direction of the branches in the future.
