The two went to extremes in men's and women's affairs: Zheng De was dissolute, lived in a leopard room, and his concubines ignored him, specializing in women and maids; Jiajing abstinence, living in Xiyuan, unfortunate empresses, unfortunate women, specializing in health. So it is not good for two people to be emperors.

During their reign, there were not many civil wars, such as Wang Ning's rebellion in Zheng De's period, Aandahl's rebellion and the enemy's rebellion in Jiajing's period, but the overall scale was still under control, so it was not troubled times. It was an important period for the development of capitalism in China, but it was missed by these two fatuous emperors. Social economy is indeed developing, but because politics is relatively dark, it can not be regarded as governing the world, but only as average.
