First of all, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty lost Qin without the disaster of Qin, because Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty had no first emperor. Judging from the economic environment at that time, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty inherited an empire richer than Qin Shihuang. We like to call Qin Huang Hanwu, but we often ignore the different dilemmas faced by Qin Huang and Emperor Wudi when they acceded to the throne. After Qin Shihuang fought bravely for the sixth time, he unified Liuhe and became the first emperor throughout the ages. However, after the reunification of the whole country, Qin still started the war machine, on the other hand, it was arrogant and extravagant, causing chaos in the world. Although Emperor Wu also started the war machine like Qin, he was equally extravagant.
But it inherited a stable empire with sufficient population, food and horses from Emperor Xiaojing. Judging from the political environment at that time, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty inherited an empire that was more United than Qin Shihuang. The Han Dynasty was founded in 202 BC, and Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty ascended the throne in 156 BC. It has been 46 years since the world was unified. After several generations of recuperation, both civilians and bureaucrats have recognized the great unity from the bottom of their hearts. Qin not only unified the six countries, but also implemented the county system, which had a great influence on people's hearts at that time. Qin Huang continued to maintain health, the world changed, and the six countries were naturally re-established.
Judging from the heirs of Liang Wudi, Xiao Zhao and Xiao Xuan are both better rulers. Hu Hai's political, military and economic clumsiness constantly destroyed the state of Qin for 500 years. Xiao Zhao and Xiao Xuan, on the other hand, practiced frugality, exercised restraint in the use of foreign troops, and were not greedy for credit or rash, and were not suspicious of selecting and employing people internally. Both emperors made good use of Zhao Chongguo, which had a great influence on Xiongnu, pacified Xiqiang and reclaimed land. Xiao Xuan fully respected the opinions of the old general, and the old general resisted the pressure and saved his strength before sending troops to break the enemy. In the later period of Xiao Xuan's rule, he called Khan, and eventually became a vassal.
Emperor Xiao Zhao easily saw through the frame-up of Huo Guang by Shangguan Jie and others at a young age, and Emperor Xiao Xuan also listened to Zhang Chang's advice of "refusing far-reaching scholars' empty words and wandering the heart of the emperor". Don't say that the emperor is as absurd as Hu Hai, even as mediocre as the emperor. How to deal with Huo Guang and unknown so as indecisive as small is another matter. When Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was in power, he was overjoyed to appoint cruel officials and resort to military tactics. I think some people say that the criticism of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty after the Song Dynasty is from the perspective of literati, implying that "people should praise Emperor Wu".
But should the so-called civilians really like Emperor Wu? What a human tragedy it is that the hukou of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was halved for more than 50 years. There was no imperial examination in the Han dynasty, and few dignitaries were not from noble families. Although the world's hukou is halved, the people may not be halved. Think about it, most of the playmates we grew up with are gone by the age of 50. The rise of great powers is naturally our expectation, but is it really the rise of great powers without considering the external expansion of national strength? In recent years, there have been many disputes about the authenticity of the book Tire Crime in academic circles. If some scholars think that the imperial edict is false, then what Emperor Wu did in his later years has no regrets.
The voice against his tyrant may be louder. Besides, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty did this for a reason. Before the reign of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, the country's recuperation had been restored to a certain extent, and the people were repeatedly harassed by Xiongnu. His sister is worried about the princess and her relatives, which is even more shameful to Emperor Wu. The harem was too dominant (it was the habit of the Han Dynasty that the harem was in charge of politics from Lv Hou to Doutai before the reign of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty), so as soon as Emperor Wu came to power, he began to clear the obstacles of harem politics, enabled a large number of young people, and began his ambitious ambitions.
Therefore, during the Liang Wudi period, Wei Qing and Huo Qubing were bellicose, which was in line with the public opinion at that time. Just because of wars and natural disasters, public opinion began to change, but during the period of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, there were many talents, such as Zheng Dangshi, who was in charge of finance, Han Anguo, Yan Zhu, Ji An and Zhao Wan in the imperial court. Although the postwar economy began to fail, and the vassal state of Huainan was ready to defect, at this moment, a strict father came out and put forward a favor order, which not only weakened the power of the vassal state, but also completed the transition from feudal system to county system. In terms of economy, although there is a subtle trick of buying officials, it feels that a wealth manager, Sang Hongyang, has emerged, proposing that salt and iron officials should unify coins, thus alleviating the economic crisis in Dahan.
Finally, externally, although Li Ling and Li Guangli surrendered one after another, Li Ling also married the Xiongnu princess. In Dong Fangshuo's words, the princesses of the Han Dynasty used to marry the Huns, and now it is also a kind of peace for the Huns to marry the men of the Han Dynasty. Although Emperor Wu was old and suspicious, all the military commanders who could fight almost died, but at this time, many policies were promulgated to enrich the people, let the people rest and reduce wars. In the succession of Zhao Han, many obstacles were removed for Zhao Han, because Liu Fuling was young, thus avoiding the situation that mother, Hadron and youngest son participated in harem affairs. He killed Zhao Tuo and left him alone in Huo Guang, leaving behind a group of capable ministers such as Jin Ridi and Sang Hongyang. The greatest advantage of using these old ministers is to ensure the continuity of policies during the reign of Emperor Wu. The truth of history is only the consideration and speculation of future generations. This is just my personal opinion. If there are similarities, it is purely coincidental. Please give us your advice!
