Shandong Liming Vocational College of Science and Technology, founded in 1985, is the earliest and only private medical university in China founded by the first generation of Professor Wang Xianming who is engaged in the research and clinical practice of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine after the founding of New China, and enjoys a good reputation at home and abroad.
In 200 1 year, authorized by the Ministry of Education and approved by the Shandong Provincial People's Government, Shandong Liming Vocational College of Science and Technology was established on the basis of Shandong University of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, which was incorporated into the national plan and awarded academic diplomas independently. It has become a comprehensive private university with the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine, combining traditional Chinese and western medicine, integrating medicine, science and engineering, economics and management, art and other disciplines, and coordinating the development of all majors.
The college has 12 secondary colleges, including Chinese medicine college, advanced nursing college, clinical medical college, stomatological medical college, science and technology college, economic management college, medical beauty technology college and foreign languages college. Professor Wang Xianming, the founder of the College, is the earliest generation expert of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in China, and he can be called a "leading figure". 1945 graduated from Harbin medical university. During the period of 1956-1959, in response to the call of Chairman Mao and Premier Zhou, he participated in the first seminar on traditional Chinese medicine held in Shanghai (Professor Tu Youyou, winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine, is also a student). In the early 1980s, he compiled and published the earliest works of TCM syndrome differentiation with a length of nearly 6,543.8+0,000 words, which concentrated the essence of classic works of TCM from Huangdi Neijing to Compendium of Materia Medica, and became a reference book for many Chinese and Western medicine practitioners. After the establishment of the school, he edited more than 30 series textbooks of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in colleges and universities with more than 70 million words. He devoted his life to the teaching and research of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in the motherland and made pioneering and innovative contributions to the development of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in China.
