Safety officers at construction sites in the Philippines need to have safety training certificates. There are training institutions in the Ministry of Labor and Employment, the Government Labor Department and private training institutions such as the Philippine Security Organization (SOPI). The training certificates issued by these qualified institutions are recognized by the government, and security officers can be formal security officers on the construction site after obtaining them.
