Location Zusanli point is located in the anterolateral part of the calf, 3 inches below the nose of the calf (that is, the lateral eye of the knee) (the index finger, the middle finger, the ring finger and the little finger are close together, and the width of the four fingers is subject to the horizontal stripes in the middle part of the middle finger), and the horizontal finger (middle finger) is wider than the front edge of the tibia (that is, the leg bone in the anterolateral center of the calf).
There are three methods of moxibustion.
1. mild moxibustion: light one end of the moxa stick, aim at Zusanli point, fix it at a distance of 2 ~ 3 cm from the skin, and smoke and bake it to make it feel warm locally without burning pain.
2. Rotating moxibustion: When applying moxibustion, hold the moxa stick, so that the lighted end keeps a certain distance from the skin, but it is not fixed, but moves left and right or rotates repeatedly to apply moxibustion.
3. Bird pecking moxibustion: The burning end of the moxa stick is not fixed at a certain distance from the acupoint, but moves vertically up and down the acupoint like a bird pecking.
"Jian Jiang Psychosomatic Exercise Method" contains: "The method of long illness-free: there must be moxibustion at Zusanli point 10 every month, and the life will be over 200 years old." In fact, we can determine the frequency of moxibustion according to our own time, and we don't have to stick to what our predecessors said. Moxibustion on both sides of Zusanli for 10 ~ 15 minutes each time until the skin turns slightly red.
Matters needing attention
Either way, it should be carried out on the premise of ensuring the safety of moxibustion and not being burned. Moxibustion users can put their forefinger and middle finger on both sides of the moxibustion site, and feel the patient's heating degree through the feeling of their fingers, so as to adjust the moxibustion distance at any time and prevent burns.
