Only those who are firm in character, sincere in behavior, have no complaints in their hearts and devote themselves to cultivation can enter the room. Some of them slack off and some stop; Some people complain and shrink back angrily; Some people are tempted by honor interests and go back to do some secular things; Some people are frightened by heresy and gossip and lose their ambition to pursue indifference; Some people practice in the morning and want to succeed at night; Some people sit, practice and stand, hoping to have an effect. As for those who see wealth but are unmoved and hear bad words but are not depressed, one in ten thousand is considered to be more.
Therefore, there are many people who practice, but few people who get the Tao. Those who draw a hard bow use strength to send arrows; Those who cross the river can only save their lives when they reach the other side; Digging a well without digging a spring is like not digging; If you don't reach a step, it's like not going. Long-distance fatigue can't be caused in a day or two, and mountains higher than the sky can't be piled up in one basket.
Then, what climbers fear most is that they are not strong enough when they are about to climb to the top of the mountain, while those who practice Taoism fear most that they are not strong enough when they are about to succeed.
Thousands of warehouses and boxes of grain are not the harvest of one cultivation; Towering trees can't grow in ten days and a half; The unfathomable abyss is formed by the accumulation of tiny water currents; Tao Zhu's assets have accumulated thousands of times.
People retreat and advance on their own, which is also the reason why immortality can be cultivated into the highest Taoism. The end is as heavy as the beginning, so I envy Yunlong. I have made up my mind, but who cares about others?
Bao Puzi said: Ordinary people can't protect their own lives, but they try their best to hurt them. Limited materials cannot supply endless consumption; The flowing water of a river cannot hold a bottomless container. Anyone who earns less and spends more can't make ends meet, not to mention hundreds of expenses without any income.
No one, old or young, will be disease-free, but disease is very important. However, how much vitality there is, the more it is consumed, the slower it is consumed and the less it is consumed. People who understand Taoism must restore to the original state in order to pursue measurable superficial interests. If people take medicine for ten days, they can get rid of their bodies, and after one month, they can be fully armed, so there will be no people who don't believe in Taoism.
What is worrying is that the income of one liter and one spoon has not been realized, but the consumption of one stone per hour has followed, the root growth of vegetation has not reached the deepest point, and the destruction of ice, snow and frost has attacked each other. I didn't know it was my fault, but I said it was useless to learn Taoism, so I abandoned Maruzan Dan Xian and stopped breathing.
Therefore, it is not the difficulty of longevity, but the difficulty of understanding Taoism; It is not difficult to understand Taoism, but it is difficult to practice Taoism; It is not difficult to practice Taoism, but it is difficult from beginning to end.
A good craftsman can teach people how to use rules, but he can't make them clever. A clever teacher can teach people books about magic, but he can't make people do it. Cultivation is like sowing food, and success is like harvesting and hoarding. Although the fields are fertile and Shui Ze is rich, if we lose the sowing time, we don't plough and weed, and cover the fertile crops on the ridge without harvesting. Although there are many acres, it seems that there is no harvest.
Ordinary scholars not only do not know that beneficial behavior will bring benefits, but also do not know that harmful behavior will bring losses. The loss is easy to know quickly, but the gain is difficult to know slowly.
Beneficial behavior is like sowing and cultivating seedlings, which suddenly flourish without anyone's attention. Therefore, we must pay attention to those small changes in maintaining our figure and cultivating our temperament. Don't think that the interests are too small to value, so don't practice, and don't think that the harm is too small to bring harm, so don't be vigilant. All substances can only become bigger if they gather small, and one can reach hundreds of millions. If we can attach importance to small links, we can achieve remarkable achievements, which is close to understanding Taoism.
