In the ninth year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (AD 589), a county was established, which was changed to Weizhou in 592 and Yongjia County in 607.
In the fourth year of Wude in the Tang Dynasty (AD 62 1 year), it was changed to include states, and in 779 it was changed to counties.
From the Yuan Dynasty to the 13th year of the Yuan Dynasty (A.D. 1276), it was changed to Chuzhou Road, from 1359 to Annan House, and later to Chuzhou House.
In the third year of Jingtai in Ming Dynasty (AD 1452), Lishui, Longquan, Songyang, Jinyun, Qingtian, Suichang, Qingyuan, Xuanping, Yunhe and Jingning 10 were under the jurisdiction of the state.

In the first year of the Republic of China (19 12), the Chuzhou Military and Political Branch was abolished, and it was successively assigned to Ouhai Road, Lishui, the ninth, sixth and seventh administrative supervision areas, with jurisdiction over Lishui, Songyang, Jinyun, Longquan, Qingyuan, Xuanping, Jingning and Yunhe.

On July 19, 2000, the administrative office was abolished, and Lishui City was established, with jurisdiction over Liandu, Jinyun, Qingtian, Jingning, Yunhe, Songyang, Suichang and Qingyuan, and Longquan City was administered by another province.
Among them, Jingning She Autonomous County is the only She Autonomous County in China and the only minority autonomous county in Zhejiang Province, from which precious She Qingqu liquor is produced. According to the Records of Jingning County, in the second year of Tang Yongtai (766), she moved from Fujian to Nanshan District in the west of Zhejiang Province, and she Qing Qu wine immediately became the health treasure of the elders' family.
