Climatic characteristics

Anhui province belongs to the transitional area between warm temperate zone and subtropical zone in climate. The north of Huaihe River has a warm temperate semi-humid monsoon climate, and the south of Huaihe River has a sub-humid monsoon climate.

Its main characteristics are: the monsoon is obvious, the four seasons are distinct, the spring is warm and changeable, the summer rain is concentrated, the autumn is crisp and the winter is cold.
