People who exercise regularly, do manual labor and do housework will feel that they have a lot of calories in their bodies. This is because exercise generates heat, which plays a role in dispelling cold and dampness. However, if you only pay attention to exercise, you will be tired after exercise, your resistance will drop, cold and dampness will take advantage of it, and your body will still be weak and sick.

Proper sweating is the best way to drive away the cold.

Proper sweating can dispel cold. Whether sweating after exercise, eating warm food or sweating slightly after soaking feet, you can achieve the effect of dispelling cold.

Cold-dispelling diet

Eating spicy and warm food often can drive away the cold. Due to the different geographical climate, each region has its own cold-dispelling eating habits. For example, the north likes to eat warm foods with high calories such as onions, ginger, garlic, peppers, beef and mutton to drive away the cold; Sichuanese like spicy food; Guizhou people like hot and sour; Hunan people like to stir-fry spicy food; Others like to drink medicinal liquor to drive away the cold. Although different, their functions are to dispel cold, damp and keep warm.

Hyperthermia to dispel cold

Hyperthermia is one of the simple, natural and effective methods used by people since ancient times. Some use thermos bottles, or heated sand, stones, salt and paraffin; Some use moxa sticks to smoke the painful parts, or stick ginger slices or garlic slices on the painful parts or acupoints and then use moxa sticks; Some use traditional Chinese medicine to boil blisters and smoke; Some use various physical therapy instruments to irradiate cold compress; Some use scraping and cupping. Dispel the cold It can be said that there are many methods to dispel cold in hospitals and folk, which can alleviate and treat various diseases caused by cold and dampness to a certain extent.

Self-made external medicinal liquor for dispelling cold

Take 50 grams of Zanthoxylum bungeanum and soak it in 250 ml of white wine (55 degrees). The whole pepper should be soaked for a week before use. If the pepper is put into a pulverizer and ground into powder, it can be used after soaking for 1 ~ 2 days. (Zanthoxylum bungeanum should be bought in the supermarket, with better quality. Don't buy pepper powder sold by roadside stalls to prevent counterfeiting and affect the curative effect. )

Zanthoxylum bungeanum is warm, which can disperse the middle cold, dispel the cold in six fu organs, dredge blood vessels, adjust joints and warm the waist and knees. Rub pepper wine on the painful part and rub it up and down. After wiping, you can directly smoke with green moxa sticks or put on a hot water bottle. Be careful not to burn, you can simmer through the clothes. This method has a good effect on treating low back pain, knee joint swelling and pain, scapulohumeral periarthritis and so on.

Self-made cold-dispelling cotton pad

There is a folk prescription: in summer, squeeze ginger into juice, soak cotton in it, squeeze a little, don't twist it, and dry it directly. Then wrap the cotton in cloth and sew it into a small cotton pad. In winter, where there is pain, sew a small cloth pad on the corresponding pain part of the close-fitting clothes and wear it all the time. Generally, after half a month of use, a new one is replaced. When in use, it would be better if you put a hot water bottle outside this ginger cotton pad. (Note: Small cotton pads don't have to be made in summer, but they can also be made in winter. )

Ginger is warm, which has the functions of warming meridians to dispel cold, warming stomach and stopping vomiting. This method can not only treat neck, shoulder, waist and leg pain, but also treat chronic bronchitis and asthma, the most common diseases of the elderly in winter. Chronic bronchitis and asthma may be caused by kidney deficiency and kidney cold. Old people with chronic bronchitis and asthma must pay attention to keeping their backs and waist warm. You can put ginger juice on your back and waist and put a hot water bottle. You can also make a bag for the hot water bottle, which is more convenient to carry on your back or tie around your waist.

Rapid cold-expelling wet method

This is the fastest way to get rid of cold and dampness, and I use it the most. It's only open to adults.

The method is as follows:

1. Slice ginger, steam in a pot and steam until soft.

2. Use 6 ~ 8 green moxa sticks in summer (8 ~ 10 sticks in winter), buy a big clip in the stationery store to hold the moxa sticks, or tie the moxa sticks in a row with adhesive tape and light them.

3. Stick the steamed ginger slices on your back (as shown on the right). Light the rows of moxa sticks, keep a distance of half an inch to one inch from the ginger slices, and slowly move up and down. Usually smoked for 30 ~ 40 minutes. When you feel pain, try to stay away. At the beginning of smoking, some people will feel obvious burning sensation and pain, because the meridians are blocked, and a lot of heat cannot be distributed quickly. If the meridians behind are clear, even if the whole row of moxa sticks is close to the back, you won't feel any pain, only warmth and comfort. Take out the ginger slices after smoking. If the skin under the ginger is wet, the ginger is also wet, indicating that the body is cold and wet. For people with less cold and dampness in the body, ginger slices should be smoked with a lot of green moxa sticks for dozens of minutes, and the skin should be crisp and dry.

4. Stick the ginger slices around the lower abdomen and navel (as shown below) and smoke them up and down for 20 ~ 30 minutes.

5. Draw 10 ~ 20 times from ankle to knee, up and down on the outside and inside of both calves. (as shown in the figure below)

6. On the outside of both arms, pump Waiguan point up and down for 20 ~ 30 times.
