The scenic spots in Hongze District include the ancient weir scenic spot of Hongze Lake, Hongze Lake, Hongze Lake levee, Sanhe Gate, and aquatic breeding farm.
1. Hongze Lake Ancient Weir Scenic Area: The scenic area mainly includes Hongze Lake levee, Shuifucheng, Fisherman's Bay and Happy Garden. It is a comprehensive eco-cultural tourist attraction integrating cultural experience, health and leisure, great lakes sightseeing, forest exploration and modern amusement.
2. Hongze Lake: Originally a small shallow lake group, it was called Fuling Lake in ancient times. After the Han dynasty, it was called broken kettle pond, and the Sui dynasty was called Hongzepu. Hongze Lake was first named in the Tang Dynasty (6 18-907). After 1 128, the Yellow River south migrated through Surabaya to seize the lower reaches of the Huaihe River and enter the waters below Huaiyin. The Huaihe River lost its access to the sea and stored water in the east of Xuyi, and the original small lake was expanded into Hongze Lake.
3. Hongze Lake Dike: It was built in Jian 'an period of the Eastern Han Dynasty and was not completed until Qing Qianlong period. The dam construction planning of Hongze Lake levee and the engineering technology of vertical breakwater dam represented the highest level in the world at that time.
4. Sanhemen: Located on the east bank of Hongze Lake, it mainly includes five natural and cultural landscapes, namely Sanhemen, He Lu Nature Reserve, Moon Lake, Hongze Lake Water Conservancy Monument Corridor and Hongze Lake Town Shuitieniu.
5. Aquatic seed farm: it belongs to the nature of agricultural and forestry farm and is a subordinate unit of the County Fisheries Bureau. Among them, allogynogenetic crucian carp and channel catfish fry are the main products in this field, which have won the trust of farmers and consumers for their quality and reputation, and the products are sold all over the country.
