Lide therapeutic instrument can still be used as a single unit. I am also an old user. I have been using it since the first generation. I have used four sets now, but the split one I used really doesn't work. I advise you not to buy any more split ones. Anyway, the split one I used didn't work. I have chronic enteritis. The effect was really good at first, but it was not as good as the first time.
