Located on the mountainside of Guanyin in Dapeng Town, it was built in Qingye's childhood (1862- 1874) and rebuilt in Guangxu thirty-four years (1908). The name Longyan comes from a strange stone on the mountainside. This stone is 3 meters thick and more than 20 meters in diameter. It suddenly protrudes from the valley and tilts upward, just like an earthworm, so it is called "Longyan". Later generations built a temple at the top of the rock and named it "Longyan Ancient Temple". This is also the characteristic of the ancient temple. Another feature of the ancient temple is a glance at the spring water in front of the big stone, which is sweet for a hundred years. Locals call it "fairy water". Interestingly, anyone who wants to get "fairy water" must kneel down to get it. Longyan ancient temple is located halfway up the mountain under the shadow of flowers. The environment is elegant and quiet, unique and natural because it is surrounded by mountains and rocks. Because there is a saying that Guanyin Bodhisattva appeared, lanterns and incense have not been extinguished for more than a hundred years. During his stay in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Dong Zhong Hospital was located here. Longyan Ancient Temple was destroyed in the Cultural Revolution. 1In the autumn of 985, local people, overseas Chinese living in the United States, West Germany, the Netherlands and Britain, and compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao donated money to restore the ancient Longyan Temple to its original state, and the main project in midsummer was completed. Later, the health pool was rebuilt, the climbing stone steps were expanded, and several pavilions were built on the mountain. At the end of 1993, there was a Guanyin statue nearly 10 meters high in the health pool, and a pagoda more than 4 meters high was built in front of the temple. Now that the cement road is built, you can drive directly to the temple.
