"Immortality" is the highest goal of Taoist cultivation and one of the core contents of Taoist immortal theory. Tao Te Ching said: "Deep-rooted, long-lasting way." It means that if you want to make your life last forever, you must have a foundation of inaction, and these foundations can only be obtained through health preservation. In the long history, Taoism has accumulated many methods of practicing health, such as external alchemy, internal alchemy, keeping thinking, keeping one, being convinced, taking the bait, guiding students, staying in the room, keeping Geng Shen and so on, in order to "live forever" Taoism is different from other religions, such as Buddhism. For example, Buddhism regards life as an unforgettable pain, and they pursue nirvana for liberation. Taoism, on the other hand, believes that living in the real world is a kind of happiness and death is a kind of pain, so Taoism's teachings are happy and reborn. Therefore, "immortality" has become the ultimate goal of Taoist disciples.
