According to the natural conditions and the needs of economic and social development, the coastal zone of Hainan Island is divided into six types according to its functions: port economic zone, urban living zone, tourism and leisure zone, ecological protection zone, agriculture and fishery zone and other zones.
1, Lingang Economic Zone. Main functions: to build ports and port-facing industries, realize port linkage and form port-facing industrial clusters. Tourism development in this area must be carried out on the premise of preserving the area of nature reserves, not affecting biodiversity protection and not destroying ecological isolation belts such as coastal backbone forest belts. Moderately develop eco-tourism and popular science tourism.
5. Agricultural and fishing areas. Main functions: used in agricultural production, mariculture and marine fishing, and developing leisure agriculture, leisure fishing and rural tourism.
