What did Hong Xiuquan do before he died? Why does everyone say he is crazy?
The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement was also a very famous movement in the late Qing Dynasty. In the early stage of this movement, Shi Dakai was the core figure, but after Shi Dakai left, the core leader became Hong Xiuquan. Hong Xiuquan played a great role in the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement. He reused some very capable generals and strengthened his own strength. But before or after Hong Xiuquan died, many people said that he was crazy, because he was a crony and careless queen bee, and he wanted to deceive himself and others, even others to eat weeds.

Although Hong Xiuquan was the commander-in-chief of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement and was in charge of the army, he was only a scholar at first and didn't know much about war. At that time, Hong Xiuquan wanted to buy people's hearts, so he sealed the king without authorization, including his relatives, courtiers and even some of his drivers and chefs, so that the number of people sealed the king reached more than 2,700. Moreover, when Hong Xiuquan died, he believed in ghosts and gods very much and said that he would send reinforcements to heaven. Soon there will be a mountain soldier to support him, so that the people below don't worry.

1862, Taiping Army and Ceng Guoquan Army went to war. Seeing that the Taiping army is no longer dominant, it can't persist. At that time, one of the surest ways was to go out and make a breakthrough. But Hong Xiuquan, as a leading figure, was only interested in enjoying himself in the city, because he always thought that the Qing army was impossible to break, and he was blessed by God. Li Xiucheng, who was beside him at that time, kept urging him to leave, only to be scolded instead. Hong Xiuquan has always believed that the heavenly soldiers will come to help him and that he has been blessed by the heavenly father. This is simply self-deception.

Moreover, the Taiping army had no food and grass in the later period, and everyone was very uncomfortable. Li Xiucheng had deep feelings for the Taiping Army at that time, and later he defected to Hong Xiuquan. Hong Xiuquan said that the heavenly father had a dream for himself, saying that manna is edible and can be preserved after eating it. The nectar referred to at that time was a weed. Someone was poisoned after eating it, but Hong Xiuquan still ignored it and went to eat weeds himself. Hong Xiuquan is eating weeds, but he is unwilling to treat the disease after being poisoned. He felt blessed by God, so he really went to see his heavenly father in June 1864.
