First, introduce Wumeng Prairie: Wumeng Prairie is located in Wumeng Town and Pingdi Yi Township of Panxian County, which is the largest natural grassland with the highest altitude in southwest China. The scenic spot has 654.38+ 10,000 mu of unique plateau grassland and 654.38+ 10,000 mu of colorful plateau dwarf rhododendron forest. In summer, the grass here is delicious and lush, and there is a beautiful picture of "the sky is like a sky, the cage covers four fields, and the wind and grass see cattle and sheep". Autumn stained with wind and frost is golden and colorful everywhere, and the mature beauty of harvest joy is everywhere. In winter, there is heavy snow here, covered in silver and ice sculptures of everything, showing the enchanting beauty of the "northland scenery" in the southwest. Besides the three wonders, the strange Buddha's light is the first one here. According to legend, Buddha's light can bring happiness and good luck to people. Grassland carpet is the second best here. Walking on the grassland is like stepping on a green carpet. The third is the traditional folk houses scattered on the grassland, with colorful stone walls and roofs, which are layered like fish scales.
It was May when we went. The grass grew and the flowers were in bloom. Climbing up the prairie, there are wild azaleas everywhere, which is much more spectacular than expected. The rhododendrons here are different from those in Baili Rhododendron Scenic Area and other big Rhododendron trees several meters high on the mountain, but mainly alpine dwarf Rhododendron with few pink and red flowers. Walking on the newly-built wooden plank road, you can also take a leisurely stroll in the waist-high azalea sea. Not far away, there are horses walking or running leisurely.
Go to Panxian Cave to spy on the life of ancient humans. Panxian Cave, a world-famous paleolithic cultural site, is a giant cave developed in Carboniferous thick limestone, with a length of 1 660m, a hall depth of 250m, an average width of 35m and a height of about 25m. The ancient humans found here are called Neanderthals. Four ancient human tooth fossils, more than 2,000 stone products and nearly 10,000 animal fossils have been unearthed here, as well as a number of cultural relics such as ashes, ashes and burned bones. A large number of flints were beaten into stone cores and fragments, and then processed into edge scrapers, chopping tools, stone hammers and axes, reflecting the process of making stone tools by ancient humans.
The cave in Panxian County is a mysterious place. The most surprising thing is that there are similar "Le Vallova" hand picks unearthed in Paris, and "Anyate" hand axes unearthed near Myanmar.
We stood by the cave and watched the scenery, and the surrounding peaks were towering and undulating. Standing on the top of the mountain, I saw a huge smiling Buddha with many small Buddha statues behind.
According to the local people, under the seats of these buddhas, there are people who are kind-hearted and blessed, and most of their descendants are covered in classics. It is understandable that there are excellent people here, and it is also very lucky to be able to touch the gas field here.
