The correct process of cupping is as follows:
Step 1: Prepare tools: glass cupping (required quantity), alcohol cotton, 1 tweezers, and half a bowl of water.
Step 2: Apply a little circle of water to the mouth of the cupping jar, not too much water, just wet it, and then apply water for better suction. Hold the alcohol cotton ball with a pair of tweezers, then ignite the alcohol cotton ball with a match, then put the ignited alcohol cotton ball into a cupping pot, and let the flame burn for a few seconds to make the fire become a small fire.
Step 3: Then quickly press cupping at the part where the patient wants cupping and stay for a few seconds.
Step 4: Move the cupping again to see if it is tight. If the suction is strong, the cupping will be pulled out, and it will take 20 minutes.
Step 5: After cupping for 20 minutes, press the skin around cupping with one hand and quickly pull up cupping with the other hand. Don't shake the cupping cup back and forth, just pull it up at once.
Special instructions:
1, don't use too much alcohol when dipping with cotton balls to avoid alcohol dripping and scalding the skin;
2. A round and blunt jar mouth with no acute angle should be used to avoid scratching the skin;
3, when cupping, the room temperature should not be too low, about 20℃ is appropriate, avoiding the tuyere, so as to avoid patients catching cold;
4. You can't take a bath immediately after cupping. It is recommended to rest before taking a bath 12 hours.
