The original chapter 12:

Five colors lead to blindness; Five tones are not deaf; Five flavors are refreshing; Galloping and hunting makes people crazy; Rare goods are an obstacle. It's the saint's stomach, not his eyes. Go and get this somewhere else.

In this chapter, the sage Lao Tzu warned people to pay special attention to several aspects of health preservation. One is that five colors make people blind, and the other is that human nature is "lewd", that is, people's eyes like to see colorful colors. If they are not controlled, they will be blind. For example, watching mobile phones and computers for too long will hurt your eyes. Therefore, people should control their eye time, that is, watch less Five Colors.

The second and fifth flavors are refreshing, sweet and sour, spicy and salty. After people's cooking, they produce ever-changing delicacies. However, Mr. Lao Tzu warned us that delicious and fat taste is not very good for people's health, and even makes people lose their sense of taste.

Third, there is no tone. In ancient times, the five tones referred to "public, business, communication, righteousness and Yu". Only when the five tones are coordinated can ever-changing music be produced. Mr. Lao Tzu warned people that excessive use of ears and listening to all kinds of complicated sounds would make them deaf.

Fourth, riding and hunting is maddening. This is not to oppose horse riding and hunting, but to warn people to do less exciting things, such as bungee jumping, skydiving and other extreme sports. The human heart will exercise violently under special circumstances, which is very bad for the body.

Fifth, it is a rare commodity that makes people do harm. That is, a rare treasure will make people commit crimes to get it. Mr. Lao Tzu warned people not to pursue material things excessively. Great wealth will bring marauders and disasters, and many people will commit crimes.

Finally, the sage Lao Tzu reminds us to learn from the sage, understand human instinct and nature, and adjust them, so as to get the true meaning of health preservation. For example, eating is human nature, but liking fat, sweet and thick will damage your health, not for your stomach, but just eat well, and don't pursue delicious food too much.
