What benefits does Ganoderma lucidum have for people? Who can eat best? When is the best season to eat? What is the best way to eat?
The role of ganoderma lucidum

Ganoderma lucidum contains many nutrients, including polysaccharides, peptides, triterpenes, amino acids, protein, alkaloids and so on. , as well as trace elements such as potassium, germanium, copper, magnesium, iron, zinc, diamond and manganese, and major elements such as calcium and phosphorus. The health-care effects of various elements on human body functions are analyzed as follows:

Potassium-makes nutrients enter cells, and wastes in the body are excreted, which is beneficial to controlling the secretion of blood sugar and insulin, providing constant energy, playing an important role in the heart and benefiting the internal circulation.

Germanium-clinical studies have confirmed that it is an inducer of interferon and has anti-cancer interferon activity. It is a broad-spectrum anticancer drug, which can treat ascites liver cancer and tumor, prevent amyloidosis, treat various diseases caused by virus cells and protozoa, and treat reproductive system cancer, and has immunomodulatory activity.

Copper-it helps to provide energy for the biochemical process of the body, helps to form blood meridian elements in the blood, affects the formation of skin pigment, promotes the formation of collagen and elastin, maintains and repairs connective tissue, and participates in the metabolic process of glucose and cholesterol.

Magnesium-has a certain therapeutic effect on cerebrospinal fluid of patients with acute cerebral infarction. Magnesium ions can inhibit vascular calcification, so magnesium is called a natural calcium antagonist. The experiment also confirmed that maintaining high concentration of magnesium in cerebrospinal fluid and cerebral artery wall is a buffering mechanism of vasospasm, which can inhibit hypertension and help diabetic patients absorb trypan acid after eating animal protein and high-calorie food for the body. Thus inhibiting the transformation to toxic xanthuric acid, the pancreas is damaged, and insulin cannot be secreted within 48 hours, leading to diabetes.

Iron-an essential element for human physiological metabolism and nutritional balance. Iron deficiency can cause pelvic blood because the main component of red blood cells is heme, which is composed of protoporphyrin iron and iron. Iron deficiency will affect the synthesis of heme and cause anemia.

Zinc-plays an extremely important role in human metabolism and wound healing, which helps to control human stress activities and ensure the health of the brain nervous system. Cobalt-prevents pernicious anemia, acute leukemia, chronic myeloid leukemia and lymphogranuloma.

Manganese can activate polysaccharide polymerase and galactosyltransferase in vivo. These two enzymes are necessary for cells to synthesize chondroitin sulfate, which is an important component of bones, tendons, skin and canthus. If the body lacks manganese, the elderly are prone to fatigue, low back pain, premature tooth loss, bone fracture and other premature aging phenomena.

Calcium is the regulator of human production activities, the source of human life and the necessary factor to ensure human health and longevity. It forms bone salt in the human body and becomes a human scaffold. Calcium participates in various physiological functions and metabolic processes of human body in the form of ions. With the development of biology, calcium and protein are widely stored inside and outside cells to feel or adjust the concentration of calcium ions with different affinity to calcium. So as to participate in physiological functions such as muscle contraction, blood coagulation, neuromuscular stress, capillary permeability, microcirculation improvement, phagocytosis of bacteria by white blood cells, secret of enzyme activin, etc., start transport and secretion functions, maintain normal physiological functions of human circulation, respiration, nervous system, endocrine system, digestive system, blood musculoskeletal system, urinary system, immune system and reproductive system, and maintain the process of human cell physiological diseases. It is the regulator of life activities. People should maintain normal calcium producers all their lives, which are generally accompanied by qualitative diseases such as osteopenia, osteopenia and osteoporosis. It is necessary to supplement calcium properly every day to maintain the healthy state of bone collaterals.

In recent years, people pay more and more attention to Ganoderma lucidum. Some manufacturers have also seen the power of Ganoderma lucidum's "money" and infinitely exaggerated the role of Ganoderma lucidum. For example, "Ganoderma lucidum spore powder" can treat cancer. At the peak, a box of ganoderma lucidum health products sold for thousands of dollars! Is this normal? Why are so many people still convinced? Recently, Professor Lin Zhibin, an authoritative expert on Ganoderma lucidum research in China, pointed out through this magazine that it is necessary to scientifically study Ganoderma lucidum, rationally apply Ganoderma lucidum and correctly evaluate Ganoderma lucidum. Now, let's follow the expert-explore Ganoderma lucidum.

In the ancient Chinese medicine literature of China, the earliest reference to Ganoderma lucidum is Shennong Herbal Classic, which was published in the first century BC and is the earliest pharmaceutical work in China. This book contains 365 kinds of drugs, which are divided into three categories: upper, middle and lower. The top drugs are all effective and non-toxic, and Ganoderma lucidum is among the best. According to the theory of Yin-Yang and Five Elements in TCM, the book divides Ganoderma lucidum into five categories according to five colors: Qingzhi, Danzhi, Huang Zhi, Baizhi, Heizhi, that is, five fingers plus Zizhi. The book describes in detail the medicinal properties, smells and indications of six kinds of Ganoderma lucidum. To sum up, Ganoderma lucidum can "replenish the qi of the five internal organs", "soothe the nerves", "increase wisdom" and "eat for a long time and prolong life". The discussion on Ganoderma lucidum in Shennong Materia Medica Classic has been regarded as a classic and quoted by doctors in past dynasties, and it has been used ever since.

People's Republic of China (PRC) Pharmacopoeia (2000 edition) records that the fruiting bodies of Ganoderma lucidum (Ganoderma lucidum, Ganoderma lucidum) are legal Chinese herbal medicines; Previously, the Ministry of Health has also approved Ganoderma lucidum as a new food resource. In this way, Ganoderma lucidum has truly become a traditional Chinese medicine with homology of medicine and food, and has achieved the legal status of homology of medicine and food in China, whether as medicine or health food. In 2000, Ganoderma lucidum was included in American Herbal Pharmacopoeia and Therapeutic Summary published in the United States. So far, this book has included 65,438+00 kinds of Chinese medicines or herbs, and Ganoderma lucidum is one of them. It can be seen that the American medical community also attaches great importance to the medicinal value of Ganoderma lucidum.

Ganoderma lucidum belongs to fungal plants. According to its life history, it can be divided into three stages. After the fruiting body of Ganoderma lucidum matures, spores are scattered everywhere, and only 2% ~ 3% of spore powder can meet the environment suitable for its growth, then form mycelium and finally become fruiting body. Therefore, Ganoderma lucidum is composed of spore powder, mycelium and fruiting body in three different growth stages. Artificially cultivated Ganoderma lucidum fruiting body is cultivated by inoculating mycelium on wood or other culture materials, rather than directly cultivated by Ganoderma lucidum spores. As traditional Chinese medicine or healthy food, these three parts are all useful. However, in People's Republic of China (PRC) Pharmacopoeia (2000 edition), only the fruiting body of Ganoderma lucidum (Ganoderma lucidum, Ganoderma lucidum) is listed as a legal Chinese herbal medicine, while spore powder is not a legal Chinese herbal medicine.

Modern medical research has proved that Ganoderma lucidum contains many chemical components, among which polysaccharides, triterpenoids, peptides, adenosine, purine and other components are its main effective components. It is also proved that Ganoderma lucidum and its effective components have a wide range of pharmacological effects, such as immunomodulation, anti-tumor, anti-radiation and chemotherapy-induced damage, sedation, cardiotonic and anti-myocardial ischemia, liver protection, hypoglycemic, antioxidant and free radical scavenging, anti-aging and so on. Clinical studies have proved that Ganoderma lucidum preparation can be used to prevent and treat chronic bronchitis and asthma, coronary heart disease, dyslipidemia, neurasthenia, insomnia, hepatitis and diabetes, and as an auxiliary drug for tumor radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

On the basis of pharmacological and clinical research of Ganoderma lucidum, Chinese scholars put forward the role of Ganoderma lucidum in strengthening important organs and systems of human body, regulating neuroendocrine immune network of human body and promoting the stability of internal environment, that is, steady-state regulation. Regulating the balance of human body through "strengthening the body resistance and consolidating the constitution" is the basis of the health care effect of Ganoderma lucidum. The study on the chemical constituents and pharmacological effects of Ganoderma lucidum laid a good foundation for its clinical application, product development and product quality control.

At present, there are many kinds of Ganoderma lucidum products sold in the domestic market, including raw materials, pharmaceutical preparations, health foods and so on. And their effects are different, and they are often exaggerated and untrue. Therefore, the rational application and correct evaluation of the medicinal value of Ganoderma lucidum is still a top priority.

Generally speaking, Ganoderma lucidum can be used as a therapeutic drug for some diseases, and it can also be used as one of the comprehensive or auxiliary therapeutic drugs for more diseases. In addition, it can also be used for health care of sub-healthy people, especially middle-aged and elderly people.

Ganoderma lucidum preparation has a certain curative effect on dyslipidemia, coronary heart disease and hypertension, and should generally be used together with the original therapeutic drugs to play a synergistic role. The characteristics of clinical efficacy are as follows:

Ganoderma lucidum preparation has the effects of regulating blood lipid, reducing serum cholesterol, triglyceride, β-lipoprotein and low density lipoprotein, increasing high density lipoprotein, reducing whole blood viscosity and plasma viscosity, and improving hemorheology disorder of patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. In some patients with coronary heart disease, ECG myocardial ischemia improved, angina symptoms eased or alleviated, and the dosage of anti-angina drugs decreased. After taking the medicine, besides the original symptoms such as palpitation, shortness of breath, headache, dizziness and edema, most patients can stimulate appetite, improve sleep and enhance physical strength.

The curative effect of Ganoderma lucidum preparation on dyslipidemia and coronary heart disease is related to the severity, dose and course of treatment of the disease. Generally, patients with mild or moderate illness have better curative effect after taking the medicine. In addition, patients with higher dose and longer course of treatment also have better curative effect.

Ganoderma lucidum preparation can lower blood pressure and improve the symptoms of patients with hypertension. A double-blind placebo-controlled clinical study has proved that there is a synergistic effect between Ganoderma lucidum and antihypertensive drugs, which can enhance the efficacy of antihypertensive drugs. According to the diagnostic criteria of the World Health Organization (WHO), 54 patients included in the study were all patients with essential hypertension. All patients received routine treatment, including angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor captopril (25mg, three times a day) or calcium antagonist nimodipine (20mg, three times a day). After no less than 1 month, the patients were treated with Lingzhi tablets. Lingzhi tablets are freeze-dried from hot water extract of Ganoderma lucidum, and each tablet contains 55 mg of Ganoderma lucidum extract (equivalent to 1.375 g of Ganoderma lucidum fruiting body). On the basis of taking the original therapeutic drugs, the patients were given two tablets of Lingzhi tablets or placebo tablets (not containing Ganoderma lucidum, only containing excipients), three times a day. Of the 54 patients, 40 patients took Lingzhi tablets and 14 patients took placebos as control. The results showed that the patient's blood pressure was higher than 140/90 mm Hg before taking Lingzhi tablet, and it began to decrease obviously two weeks after taking Lingzhi tablet, and then decreased to below 140/90 mm Hg four weeks after taking Lingzhi tablet. At the same time, the measured aortic pressure and capillary pressure also decreased significantly, but the patients taking placebo tablets did not improve the above indexes significantly. At the same time, the study also found that the blood sugar of patients in Lingzhi tablet group decreased significantly, and the level of plasma nitric oxide (NO) increased significantly, which was positively correlated with the decrease of capillary pressure.

The above results show that Ganoderma lucidum preparation has certain curative effect on hypertension, especially when it is combined with conventional antihypertensive drugs, blood pressure is easier to control.

Three problems about ganoderma lucidum

Lin Shuqian, Director and Associate Research Fellow of the Professional Committee of Medicinal Fungi of Fujian Society of Microbiology.

Family medicine, June 5438, 2004

Although many people are taking Ganoderma lucidum products now, their understanding of Ganoderma lucidum is not so clear, is it? Have you figured out all the following three questions?

Is Ganoderma lucidum wild or cultivated artificially?

The growth cycle of wild Ganoderma lucidum is long, most of them are 1 year, and the collection season is from May to1October. The growth cycle of cultivated Ganoderma lucidum is short, and it usually takes 3 ~ 4 months from the appearance of Lei Zhi to the harvest. Because the growth cycle of wild Ganoderma lucidum is slightly longer, the content of effective components may be slightly higher, but it will decrease if the growth cycle is too long.

Different varieties of Ganoderma lucidum or the same Ganoderma lucidum have different contents of polysaccharides and triterpenoids at different growth stages. Even in the same variety, the contents of polysaccharides and triterpenoids are different under different growth conditions. Under the same conditions, too long growth cycle and nutrient consumption may also cause quality decline.

Therefore, it can be said that the quality of Ganoderma lucidum depends on production management (wild Ganoderma lucidum pays attention to harvest season), and the older Ganoderma lucidum is, the higher its effective components and the stronger its pharmacological activity.

The prices of different grades of Ganoderma lucidum fruiting bodies vary greatly. At present, the quality grading standards of fruiting bodies in different places are slightly different. Ganoderma lucidum is selected without moth and mildew; Golden or light yellow on the back of the hat is preferred; The stipe should not be too long, and the classification standard of Ganoderma lucidum is: length1.5 ~ 3cm, and the diameter of the cap is below 3cm, which is grade three; More than 5 cm is the second level, and more than 8 cm is the first level; 15 ~ 25cm is the special grade. It is suggested that the selection criteria should be 5 ~ 8 cm in diameter, the thickness of the cover center above 1 cm, and the manual work should be firm. Such ganoderma lucidum is reasonable in price and good in quality.

Is Ganoderma lucidum spore the essence of Ganoderma lucidum?

Ganoderma lucidum spores are the essence of Ganoderma lucidum and lack of scientific basis.

Under artificial cultivation conditions, when the fruiting body of Ganoderma lucidum matures, Ganoderma lucidum spores will be released, and about 1 gram of spore powder can be collected per1gram of log Ganoderma lucidum. Similar to fruiting bodies, spores mainly contain protein, fat, polysaccharides, terpenoids, alkaloids and vitamins, but the contents of various components are different, such as low polysaccharide content in spores.

Is it safe to make tea with Ganoderma lucidum for a long time?

People often boil or soak Ganoderma lucidum slices or coarse powder in boiling water to drink tea. At this time, it should be controlled to drink 5 ~ 10 g of Ganoderma lucidum every day, and drinking tea for a long time is safe and has no toxic side effects.

However, the selected Ganoderma lucidum is required to be clean and free from impurities, that is, no moth and mildew. When processing, we should pay attention to cutting Ganoderma lucidum into 1 ~ 3 mm thin slices or pulverizing it into coarse powder, and blanching it with boiling water; Or, after sterilizing sliced Ganoderma lucidum, soak it in boiling water and brew it as tea until it is bitter.

Ganoderma lucidum can help treat cancer.

Lin Zhibin, Chairman of Chinese Pharmacology Society and Professor of peking university health science center.

Family medicine, June 5438, 2004

Since 1990s, many domestic manufacturers have introduced "Ganoderma lucidum spore powder" and other "anti-tumor" products. As early as 1996, Professor Lin clearly pointed out that "Ganoderma lucidum spore powder" did not have the propaganda therapeutic effect. Today, Professor Lin once again stressed through this journal that although Ganoderma lucidum has a certain anti-tumor effect, it is not an anti-tumor drug and can only be used as an adjuvant therapy for tumor chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Patients and friends should not trust the propaganda of manufacturers.

At present, the anti-tumor effect of Ganoderma lucidum is often exaggerated in some publicity materials of Ganoderma lucidum products, and some wrong statements must be clarified here.

Although Ganoderma lucidum has a certain anti-tumor effect, it is not an anti-tumor drug, and can only be used as an adjuvant treatment drug for tumor chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Ganoderma lucidum preparation, when combined with chemotherapy or radiotherapy, has a good adjuvant therapeutic effect on some tumors, such as gastric cancer, esophageal cancer, lung cancer, liver cancer, bladder cancer, renal cancer, colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, uterine cancer and so on. Its curative effect features are as follows:

Improve the tolerance of tumor patients to chemotherapy and radiotherapy;

Relieve serious adverse reactions such as leukopenia, loss of appetite, weight loss and decreased immunity caused by chemotherapy and radiotherapy;

Improve the immune function of tumor patients and enhance the anti-tumor immunity of the body;

Improve the quality of life of tumor patients and enhance their physique. A few patients with advanced cancer are too serious to be surgically removed, nor can they receive chemotherapy and radiotherapy. After taking Ganoderma lucidum, their condition has improved, their physical strength has increased, and they can tolerate chemotherapy and radiotherapy. It can be seen that Ganoderma lucidum can be used as an auxiliary drug for tumor chemotherapy or radiotherapy, which plays a synergistic and attenuated role.

Surgical resection, chemotherapy and radiotherapy can remove tumor tissue or kill tumor cells, but this can not completely avoid tumor metastasis or completely eliminate tumor cells. On the contrary, the injury caused by surgery and the toxicity of chemotherapy or radiotherapy will also reduce the body's anti-tumor immunity, produce toxicity to important organs such as bone marrow, digestive system, liver and kidney, and even directly or indirectly lead to the death of patients, which is the consequence of radiotherapy or chemotherapy as the saying goes.

According to the treatment principle of traditional Chinese medicine, surgical resection, chemotherapy and radiotherapy of tumors only pay attention to "eliminating pathogenic factors", while ignoring "strengthening the body resistance", and even damage the vital qi, thus resulting in the above-mentioned results inconsistent with the treatment purpose. The role of Ganoderma lucidum in tumor chemotherapy and radiotherapy is precisely to make up for the shortcomings of these two therapies, that is, strengthening the body resistance and strengthening the foundation, and truly "strengthening the body resistance and eliminating evil". The effect of Ganoderma lucidum on strengthening body resistance may be achieved by enhancing anti-tumor immunity, promoting hematopoietic function of bone marrow and antagonizing tissue damage caused by radiotherapy and chemotherapy. A small number of tumor patients can survive with tumors for a long time after treatment with Ganoderma lucidum, which is also the result of Ganoderma lucidum enhancing the body's anti-tumor immunity and limiting the further development and metastasis of tumors. In other words, Ganoderma lucidum supports healthy qi and realizes "healthy qi hidden inside". Although there is evil (tumor), it realizes "evil cannot be done", so some patients can live with the tumor for a long time.

How is the anti-tumor effect of Ganoderma lucidum produced in the body? It has been proved that Ganoderma lucidum can improve the anti-tumor immune function, kill tumor cells by enhancing the functions of macrophages, natural killer cells (NK) and cytotoxic T cells, and kill tumor cells or promote their apoptosis by releasing anti-tumor cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and interferon (IFN) from macrophages and T lymphocytes. Therefore, the anti-tumor effect of Ganoderma lucidum is mainly achieved by enhancing the anti-tumor immunity of the body.

What should I pay attention to when choosing Ganoderma lucidum health food?

Family medicine, June 5438, 2004

Ganoderma lucidum health products on the market can be described as dazzling, so how to choose? Let's ask Professor Lin Zhibin to talk about what should be paid attention to when choosing Ganoderma lucidum health food.

Health food, also known as functional food, is similar to pharmaceutical preparations in raw materials, dosage forms and usage methods, but its function is limited to health care, and the product description only has health care function, which is not indicated.

At present, in the health care products market, Ganoderma lucidum products are difficult to distinguish between true and false, and the quality is uneven, so special attention should be paid when purchasing. Some products are not processed and extracted, but the fruiting body or mycelium of Ganoderma lucidum is ground into powder and directly packed into capsules, which contain a lot of cellulose and impurities, which are not well absorbed and utilized after taking.

There are also some products whose raw materials (fruiting body and spore powder) have polluted heavy metals such as arsenic, mercury and lead during cultivation. After the preparation, the heavy metals in it exceed the standard, which is harmful to human body after taking it. There are also some so-called Lingzhi tea products in the market, which are actually granules with powdered sugar, with high sugar content and low ganoderma lucidum content. Excessive intake of sugar is harmful to human body, especially to the elderly and diabetic patients.

Germanium is not an essential trace element for human body, nor is it an effective component of Ganoderma lucidum. The propaganda that Ganoderma lucidum contains germanium and germanium has therapeutic effect is unfounded.

Although selenium is an essential trace element for human body, it is not necessary for people who are not deficient in selenium to take "selenium-enriched" Ganoderma lucidum products. Taking more than the human body needs is harmful to the human body.

Ganoderma lucidum spores are wrapped in hard shells and are not easily absorbed. Therefore, it is not worth advocating that spore powder is taken directly in capsules without processing and extraction, and readers should pay attention to it when purchasing.
