The play tells the story of He Jianyi (), the chief physician of the emergency department, and Wang, a highly educated "airborne" doctor of medicine. Because of the differences in education system and way of thinking, they gradually established a tacit understanding in the process of concept collision and mutual examination. While treating patients with wonderful hands and kindness, a touching story was staged.
The original screenwriter Diandian graduated from Shanghai Second Military Medical University, which laid a solid foundation for the professionalism and authenticity of Emergency Doctor. She has many years of clinical experience and is quite familiar with the hospital system. 15 years ago, her TV series Never Give Up shaped a generation's dream of being a doctor. This time, in collaboration with director Zheng Xiaolong, she produced her own original play "Life is Close to Heaven", which was polished with her ingenuity. With the second creation of screenwriter Juanzi, the characters in the play become fuller and more flesh and blood.
