How to practice Tai Ji Chuan's explanation of the difference between large, medium and small racks in Yang Tai and Tai Ji Chuan?
A small rack is a rack, which is now customarily called "less waiting rack"; The middle frame is the training frame, which is now customarily called "Hou Jian frame". These two frames are Yang Quan's mother's frames; The big frame is the transformation frame of the mother frame, and it is Yang's boxing frame. Now it is customary to call it "Cheng Fu Jia".

Compared with the big frame, the small frame and the middle frame are much richer and more complicated in content and practice: they all clap their hands by grasping the sparrow's tail, and the small frame and the middle frame have three rings: shoulder ring, chest ring and waist ring, and the big frame is transformed into a chest ring; Like the three cloud hands, the small and medium-sized frames are divided into one opening and one closing, two opening and two closing, three opening and three closing, and the large frame is transformed into one opening and one closing; Drive the monkey out twice, the small middle frame is matched with a cat's pat and elbow, and the big frame is transformed into a set pattern. Both women are shuttlers, and the small middle frame contains the changes of boxing potential, such as stealing peaches, pulleys, dustpans and passing shuttles. The big frame was transformed into a four-corner one. The same white snake spits letters, and the big rack reduces the sparrow and magpie, and the small rack changes hands; Both left and right legs split and turned to kick, and the big frame removed the hanging trees in the small frame and the middle frame ... Limited to space, it is impossible to list them one by one. In a word, the big frame is a boxing frame modified by Yang Chengfu for his father Hou Jian and his brother Shao Hou.

The small rack is Yang Quan's fast rack, use rack and skill rack, and the middle rack is Yang Quan's slow rack, practice rack and skill rack. On the basis of Yang Quan's original frame and practice frame, the big frame is a brand-new frame of Yang Quan, which is formed for the sake of simplifying the complex, making the difficult easy, removing the bad (such as shaking the feet), popularizing, reforming and updating.

This is the essence of juvenile Tai Chi Chuan.

Wushu is the darling of the era of cold weapons. Yang's boxing frame and training frame meet the needs of "showing Zen and fighting for the world" and are pure martial arts boxing. The appearance and "stereotype" of Yang Boxing Frame marks the transition of Yang Boxing from a single boxing type to medical sports, physical fitness, health care and boxing defense.

Young's boxing is small and strong, strong and overbearing, with beautiful movements and great difficulty. Mr. Shao Hou, the eldest son of Hou Jian, took the lead and became a representative figure of the Boxing Department in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. Young Hou is withdrawn and irritable, and the conditions for choosing future generations are extremely harsh: "If you don't teach, it's not pleasing to the eye; Second, not teaching is not learning boxing materials; Three don't teach can't stand beating and scolding, which is the famous "three don't teach" Small frames are difficult to learn and practice. In addition, Shao Hou's teaching is routine, rigid and mean. He once said, "What my ancestors learned can't be changed, so I can teach them how I learned it …" Students can't stand his cruel way of discipline and stay at a respectful distance from others. Therefore, people with special opportunities and fate can't get it, which is also the main reason why Yang Quan's small frame lacks successors. 1925 Chen Weiming's taiji biography contains: "Young Hou Chuantian, Zhao Lin, You Zhixue, etc. , but also learned from the young Hou "; 1937 Wu Tunan's "Introduction to China Wushu" contains: "Shao Hou Chuan Dong Runfang, Ma Runzhi, You Zhixue, Tian, Ulabu"; See the media reports on the descendants of young Hou, such as Tian, Gu and Zhang Huchen (according to the author's "Records of Tai Ji Chuan in Yongnian, Hebei in 2006", which is similar to it).

According to the analysis of relevant data, the name and order of Yang-style boxing small frame practiced by predecessors are basically the same as Yang Chengfu's stereotyped writing (the author can prove that the big frame originated from small and medium frame, which will be discussed in the third section of Mr. Zhang Huchen's "One Boxing Pass Three Routines"), but the difference lies in the complicated boxing potential, extremely fast boxing speed, different posture changes and different styles. ...

Yang's boxing frame is spirally stacked, strewn at random, elegant and smart, and Mr. Wang is the representative of boxing frame. Hou Jian is calm. When Tai Chi Chuan faced development opportunities in the early years of the Republic of China, most of his disciples moved to his son Yang Chengfu. In 2006, Yongnian wrote Yongnian Taiji Biography 173 pages. In addition to the eldest son Shao Hou, the second son (early death) and Ji Zicheng, Hou Jian's descendants are only.

My teacher, Mr. Zhang Huchen, said that the healthy posture is gentle and comfortable, not anxious or slow, not stiff or strong, and the fist is like a snake hovering and dancing, which is the basic posture for Yang Quan to stand quickly. Judging from the potential map of Xu Yusheng and Tai Ji Chuan written by 192 1, the picture in the book is not the same as the middle frame, but it is not much different from that in Yang Chengfu's 19 19 boxing photos (see Chen Weiming's Art of Tai Ji Chuan for details). From this, it can be proved that Xu Yusheng has also reformed Tai Ji Chuan, which was preached by Yang Jianhou, and the idea of reform is basically the same as that of Yang Chengfu. (According to the author's understanding, the end of the cold weapon era in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China was the period when various schools of China Wushu tried to survive and seek development, and they were all inclusive, so people of insight, especially the main communicators in Tai Ji Chuan, such as Yang Chengfu, Wu and Wang Maozhai, came to discuss Tai Ji Chuan. Only at that time, there were more social activities in Xu Yusheng, and there were fewer opportunities to directly engage in teaching in Tai Ji Chuan. Except Wang He of Shanxi and Zhang Huchen of Beijing, there is no information disclosure of other descendants.

What is the connection between the big, middle and small frames of Yang Quan? The author thinks that the three training methods are different and have different functions, and their essence is Yang's boxing, but each has its own emphasis: the small frame is practical and the technical attack is emphasized; The middle frame is the main work and tends to increase strength; The large frame has both physical function and functional function, which is beneficial to popularization. Large, medium and small frames complement each other, thus forming a complete Young's Tai Ji Chuan system.

Small frame is difficult, middle frame is complex, and people without understanding and wisdom can't learn; The big rack is born out of the small rack, which is easy to popularize and everyone can practice. Large, medium and small boxes are like three steps, which are easy first and difficult later. It is not difficult to enter the room step by step. According to the author's teaching experience, it is better to learn the middle rack after three years of big rack and the small rack after one year of middle rack.

Small boxing is fast and difficult, but it is difficult to be fast and not chaotic; Chinese boxing is long, and the boxing situation is complicated, so it is difficult to achieve slow and continuous, and it is difficult for those with insufficient physical strength to support it. Both of them are not popular. My teacher, Mr. Zhang Huchen, said before his death that he worked hard in using and practicing the scaffolding when he was young, and in his later years, most of them practiced on the scaffolding (the author called the scaffolding the scaffolding, the same below). The author is deeply touched by this. Fools are old, except for special needs, the most favorite thing to practice is the front frame. The reason is that the small and medium-sized rack is too tired, so it is not as good as the big rack to calm down and be comfortable.
