Curculigo is pungent and hot. Its main function is to treat cold diarrhea caused by deficiency of kidney yang, and to warm kidney and strengthen yang. It can also be used for treating lumbago due to cold and dampness, rheumatism and rheumatoid arthritis, eliminating cold and dampness, and strengthening bones and muscles. These drugs are designed for deficiency syndrome and are not suitable for people who are healthy and have no deficiency syndrome.
