Dialectical relationship between five elements, five colors and five flavors of traditional Chinese medicine and the health of five internal organs
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) uses the analogy method of five elements to classify the human tissue structure into five elements system according to the manifestations and characteristics of viscera, thus forming a viscera system with five organs as the center, six fu organs as the coordination, five bodies as the guide, five senses as the enlightenment, and the body surface as the pride, which laid the foundation for the systematization of the theory of Tibetan images.

According to the law that the five elements are mutually dependent, there is a mutually restrictive relationship between zang-fu organs, such as: lung qi descending, qi flowing smoothly, which can inhibit liver qi rising and liver yang rising, which is called Jin Kemu; Full liver qi can relieve spleen dampness and stagnation, which is called Muketu; Spleen qi transport and transformation can regulate the water control function of kidney, thus preventing the flood of water and dampness, which is called soil water; The moistening of kidney water is beneficial to the heart to restrain the inflammation of heart fire, that is, water can control fire; Excessive heart yang heat will restrict the clearing of lung qi, which is fire and gold.

(The birth order is correct, meaning Jinshui, aquatic wood, Muhuo, Huotu and Primary Gold)

(Geke means Jin Kemu, water is like fire, wood is like earth, fire is like gold, and earth is like water).

Take the kidney as an example, from left to right: black food enters the kidney, opens the ear, merges with the bladder meridian, and the kidney dominates the bone, corresponding to water and salt entering the kidney. Yixin (Jin Shengshui), kidney disease is forbidden (Tukeshui), and kidney should be supplemented in winter.

Cyan entering the liver can enhance the qi of viscera. The liver is an organ that detoxifies, so cyan food has the function of clearing liver and detoxifying.

Red entering the heart can enhance the qi of the heart, improve the activity of cells in human tissues, enhance human immune function, prevent the invasion of influenza and various viruses, and have the effects of clearing blood, enriching blood and promoting blood circulation.

Yellow into the spleen can enhance the qi of the spleen, promote and regulate metabolism, and improve the disease resistance of spleen function.

White entering the lungs can enhance the qi of the heart, improve the antiviral ability of heart organs, relieve cough and eliminate phlegm, and treat fatigue and hemoptysis.

Black entering the kidney can strengthen the qi of the kidney, treat impotence, nocturnal emission, backache, and make up for the long-term illness. It has health care, skin care, anti-aging and cancer prevention, and is of great benefit to reproductive and urinary systems.

Chinese medicine believes that the five flavors in the diet can nourish the five internal organs, but if the five flavors are not balanced, it will hurt the five internal organs.

1, sour liver: sour food can enhance digestive function and protect the liver. Regular consumption can not only help digestion and kill hungry bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract, but also prevent colds, lower blood pressure and soften blood vessels. Sour plum, pomegranate, tomato, hawthorn and orange all contain vitamin C, which can prevent cancer, aging and arteriosclerosis.

2, bitter: There is a saying in ancient times that good medicine tastes bitter. Chinese medicine believes that bitter food can drain, dry and strengthen yin, and has the effect of dehumidification and diuresis. Such as orange peel, bitter almond, bitter gourd, lily, etc. Eating regularly can prevent toxin accumulation and prevent all kinds of sores.

3, sweet into the spleen: sweet food can replenish qi and blood, supplement calories, relieve fatigue, detoxify the stomach, and have the effect of stopping spasm. Such as brown sugar, longan meat, honey, rice flour food, etc. , are good choices for sweets.

4, spicy into the lungs: Chinese medicine believes that spicy food has the effect of sweating and regulating qi. People often eat onions, ginger, garlic, peppers, peppers, which are spicy foods. These foods can protect blood vessels, regulate qi and blood, and dredge meridians. If eaten regularly, it can prevent colds and colds, but people suffering from hemorrhoids, constipation and kidney meridian weakness should not eat it.

5, salty into the kidney: salty is the crown of five flavors, never tired of eating. Chinese medicine believes that salty food can regulate the penetration of human cells and blood and maintain normal metabolism. Salty taste has the functions of catharsis, softening and resolving hard mass, nourishing yin and nourishing blood. Such as salt, kelp, seaweed, jellyfish, etc., are all high-quality salty foods.

Attachment: the relationship between various foods and nourishing the five internal organs

1 Sour food can enhance digestion and protect the liver. Regular consumption can not only help digestion and kill bacteria in gastrointestinal tract, but also prevent colds, lower blood pressure and soften blood vessels. Dark plum, dogwood, pomegranate, tomato, hawthorn and orange, which are mainly sour, are rich in vitamin C, which can prevent cancer, aging and arteriosclerosis.

2 Bitterness: As the old saying goes, good medicine tastes bitter. Chinese medicine believes that bitter food can drain, dry and strengthen yin, and has the function of dehumidification and diuresis. Such as orange peel, bitter almond, bitter gourd, lily, etc. Eating regularly can prevent toxin accumulation and treat all kinds of sores.

3 Sweet into the spleen: Sweet foods can replenish qi and blood, replenish calories, relieve fatigue, detoxify the stomach, and relieve spasms, such as brown sugar, longan pulp, honey and rice flour, which are all good choices for nourishing food.

4 spicy into the lungs: Chinese medicine believes that spicy food has the effect of sweating and regulating qi. People often eat onions, garlic, ginger, peppers and prickly ash, which are all spicy foods. These foods can protect blood vessels, regulate qi and blood, and dredge meridians. Regular consumption can prevent colds and colds. However, people suffering from hemorrhoids, constipation and neurasthenia should not eat it.

5 salty into the kidney: salty is the crown of five flavors, and you can't get tired of eating it. Chinese medicine believes that salty food can regulate the penetration of human cells and blood and maintain normal metabolism. Salty taste has the functions of diarrhea, softening and hardening, dispersing stagnation, nourishing yin and nourishing blood, such as salt, kelp, laver and jellyfish.

However, when choosing food, it is good for health to reconcile the five flavors; If the five flavors are too partial, it will cause diseases. For example, if the acidity is too strong, it will easily lead to excessive liver qi and inhibit the function of the spleen and stomach (Muketu); Too bitter can easily lead to excessive heart fire and inhibit lung qi (fire and gold); Too sweet taste can easily lead to excessive spleen and stomach and inhibit kidney qi (soil water); Too spicy taste can easily lead to excessive lung qi and inhibit liver qi (Jin Kemu); Too much salty taste can easily lead to excessive kidney qi and inhibit heart qi (water can put out the fire).

People's five senses are also directly related to the five internal organs: the liver opens to the eyes, the heart to the tongue, the spleen to the mouth, the lung to the nose, and the kidney to the ears.

Heart governs blood and gas, and hides God. The five elements belong to fire and are filled with pulse. They are proud of their faces, aware of their tongues, and their exterior and interior are in harmony with the small intestine. They are red in color, bitter in taste and burnt. If the heart is sick, the tip of the tongue is red, or the tongue body is not getting better and the speech is unclear;

The liver governs catharsis, hides the soul, and the five elements belong to wood, which is full of tendons. Its glory lies in its claws, its enlightenment lies in its eyes, and its bravery lies in its exterior and interior. Its color is blue and its taste and smell are sour. Patients with liver disease will have symptoms in their eyes, such as yellow eyes, astringent eyes, photophobia and tears;

The spleen governs the transport and transformation of Tibetan righteousness, and the five elements belong to the soil and are filled with tendons. Their brilliance is on their lips, they are enlightened in their mouths, and they interact with their stomachs. The weather in Puge is yellow, sweet and fragrant. Spleen disease is stuffy in the mouth, eating without melting, chapped lips;

The lung governs the declaration of hair and hides the spirit, and the five elements belong to gold, which is filled in the skin. Its glory lies in the hair and enlightenment lies in the nose. It is white, has a pungent smell and has a large intestine. People with lung diseases will have stuffy noses, runny noses, sneezing and nosebleeds, and they can't tell the fragrance from the smell.

The kidney governs essence, storing ambition, and the five elements belong to water, which is full of bones. It is proud of hair, light ears and interaction with bladder. Its color is black, its taste is salty and it smells bad. People with kidney disease may have cicadas, itching, back or deafness in their ears.

The ancient books of traditional Chinese medicine record the emotional viscera as follows: "Anger hurts the liver, likes sadness, grieves the lungs, worries about the spleen, and fears hurting the kidney". Disorder of the five internal organs of the human body will cause different emotional reactions, and conversely, emotions will also affect the five internal organs. Therefore, to protect your body from ecstasy, sadness, anger, shock, worry and fear, you can start by understanding the principle.

Happiness: "excessive happiness" or "sudden happiness" will cause excessive consumption of the mind.

Anger: "Anger" and "Anger" lead to hyperactivity of liver qi and excessive consumption of liver blood, while liver blood deficiency has a pathological state of excessive yang and insufficient yin; "Anger leads to qi rising", which leads to qi disorder and affects the function of liver and other organs.

Worry: Anxiety and depression lead to lung qi occlusion. The stimulation of sadness is too large or lasts too long, which will block Qi movement and cause diseases.

Thinking: It means that thinking is highly concentrated for a long time and thinking too much. Qi and blood are blocked and stagnated in one place, which can not run smoothly throughout the body and cause disease.

Panic: panic does not directly harm the kidneys, but first through inner feelings, and then borne by the kidneys. The former is harmful to the mind, while the latter is harmful to the kidneys.

1, spring should be supplemented: spring, the sun is shining, the earth recovers, and everything grows upward. We should use the liver. According to the characteristics of spring, mulberry leaves, chrysanthemum, ginger and other hair-rising products are selected to fully mobilize the yang of the human body and reconcile qi and blood.

2, Xia Yiqing tonic: summer is hot, fire and evil are flourishing, and everything is thriving. It should be heart-oriented. According to the full qi and blood of human viscera in summer, light and heat-clearing products such as honeysuckle, lotus leaf and lotus seed are used to regulate yin, Yang Qi and blood of human body.

3, long summer should be lightly supplemented: long summer in summer and autumn, the weather will be calm, the weather will be hot, the humidity will be low, there will be water vapor, wet and hot intertwined. Spleen should be supplemented, and products such as adzuki bean, mung bean and agastache should be used to promote diuresis and strengthen the spleen, so as to achieve the biochemical activity of qi and blood.

4, autumn should be cool tonic: autumn yang convergence, yin growth, dry climate. At this time, the five internal organs have just recovered from the vigorous metabolism in summer. In summer, lily, black sesame and other products should be used to nourish yin and promote fluid production to regulate visceral dysfunction.

5, winter should be warmed up: winter weather is cold, yang is deep, and kidneys should be used. At this time, according to the characteristics of winter storage, longan, walnut kernel and donkey-hide gelatin should be used to nourish the deficiency of qi and blood, which is the vitality of viscera and adapts to the changes of nature.

Five elements, five internal organs, five flavors, five colors, five colors, five emotions and five seasons are closely related and inseparable. As long as you master the relationship between them and apply it to daily health care, I believe you will have a healthy body!
