This paper sums up Professor Wu Xiongzhi's thought of supporting yang from six aspects: ideological origin, theory of supporting yang, diagnosis of yang deficiency, treatment rules, syndrome differentiation and treatment, and prescriptions for supporting yang. Professor Wu Xiongzhi thinks that yang deficiency is not only found in three diseases of yin, but also in three diseases of yang, such as Mahuang Fuzi Asarum Decoction with cold exterior of the sun, Chaihu Guizhi Ganjiang Decoction with spleen-yang deficiency of shaoyang disease and Dahuang Fuzi Decoction with cold constipation of Yangming.

Based on the model of six meridians, the author treats cancer fever caused by real winter vacation fever with the method of warming and latent heat. Sini decoction is often used to warm and tonify kidney yang, supplemented by cinnamon and Achyranthes bidentata, to induce fire to fall, make yang converge to the house, and induce fire to return to its original state, thus achieving the effect of improving cancer fever symptoms.

Cancer fever is mostly the syndrome of true winter heat, or the internal yin is too cold, the yin does not converge the yang, the yang deficiency exceeds the surface, or the lower energizer is insufficient, which leads to fever. This disease mostly occurs in patients with advanced malignant tumors.
