What is Emei Wushu?
Being a Shaolin Sect will only soften your heart, Wudang. Three legs are flat in autumn, and the Emei wind is crisp and soft. Emei Wushu, Shaolin Wushu and Wutangmen Wushu are the three major schools in China.
The emergence of Emei martial arts is that the predecessors of Emei School combined the five shapes of dragon, tiger, leopard, snake and crane in Buddhist north shaolin, combined the connotation of Taoism with yin and qi, adopted martial arts as an external alchemy, and then cultivated inner alchemy step by step, supplemented by tantric psychology, creating original Emei tricks and the essence of martial arts, and became an Emei School with both internal and external cultivation and the essence of China martial arts.
Before the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, Emei Wushu belonged to orthodoxy and followed the style of quiet school. In the early years of the Qing Dynasty, the monks and Taoists coexisted in Emei Mountain, forming a martial art of both Buddhism and Taoism-Emei Martial Arts.
Emei Sect Wudaomen
Monk gate 1
Monk or Shen or Yi. When it comes to applying to be a monkey, it means that monkeys have flexible shoulders and arms. The more popular saying is that Emei Mountain is a Buddhist holy land, so it is a monk's gate. The monk gate is characterized by the combination of fist, palm, elbow and leg, attacking from left to right, with strong aggressiveness, and the posture is mainly machine pile. Including the machine, is waiting for the opportunity to attack each other. Monks are popular in western Sichuan and southern Sichuan. The boxing routines include Dragon Boxing, Step-practicing Boxing, Dalinhuan Boxing, Tiger and Leopard Boxing and Liu Tong Boxing, among which Dragon Boxing is a typical monk routine.
2. Huamen
Huamen is also called Silkworm Close the Door. When the Silkworm punches, it will swallow silk continuously. When closing, we should seal the enemy tightly, and avoid reality and be empty. Some people think that the name of Huamen stems from its changeable techniques, which is quite fancy, but it is different from Huaquan, so it is named Huamen.
Contrary to Hong Men's style, the door-changing style is soft in the middle and small in the middle, which leads to the failure of the enemy's strength by hand, and its leading method has the meaning of pulling away the opponent's attack. This kind of boxing attaches importance to one-handed practice. The main techniques are: holding, probing, hanging, holding and so on. The key point is that the palm of your hand does not leave your cheek, the elbow does not leave your chest, and each hand is a hook when punching, and the hands and feet are light.
The typical routine in Huamen is 36-hand combination, also known as Chuannanquan, also known as the highest day hand (commonly known as the highest day star 36), which is rich in content, changeable in methods, strict in attack and defense, rigid and flexible, and has the characteristics of kicking far and near, stretching far and reaching to the elbow. In addition, there are twenty-four close-fitting, Dalian Boxing, Ba Hua Boxing, White Tiger Whip, Moon-holding Double Knife, Seven-star Yue Bai and so on.
3. Zhao men
This kind of martial arts is borrowed from Shaolin Sect to highlight Zhao Taizu's boxing, hence the name "Zhao Men". The whole style is tumbling and jumping, generous. The fighting way of "kicking the knee" is very different from that of the southern faction. However, Zhao's door has no whirlwind feet, only one leg. This gate is dominated by high piles.
Zhaomen is popular in southern Sichuan. Boxing types include plum elbow, black tiger boxing and Qimen Boxing. Instruments include crochet, double knives, etc. The melody of plum elbow is: the wind moves like thunder, the heart moves like a sword, the heart moves like a flame, the feet move like Mount Tai, the fist moves like a bow, and the bow kills the tiger. This fist is named after the ground, Emei plum elbow.
4. Moon Gate
The legend was given by Yue Fei, and there is no historical evidence to prove it. It is characterized by short piles. When punching, the forehand needs to turn around. There is a saying that "if you don't draw a circle, you can't make a fist, and the enemy's hand can't stop it." When shooting, the strength is heavy, emphasizing the body-to-body play, and using the strength of five peaks and six elbows to face the opponent. Its footwork highlights the bow and arrow step, that is, the left leg moves forward half a step, bends like a bow, and the right leg straightens like an arrow, becoming a bow and arrow crotch. Both legs are strong at this time.
Yuemen is popular in eastern and southern Sichuan, and its boxing types include Golden Lock Hand Boxing, Yuejia Boxing, Twelve-Lian Boxing, Bird Boxing, White Ape Watching Peach, Nine Rolling and Eighteen Falling, etc. And the equipment is mostly sticks, mainly field sparring. It has practical value.
5. Dumen
Du Menyuan has a different saying that people who say "Du" will put an end to it, which means to stop the enemy from attacking. Wushu is characterized by less use of fists, more use of palms, tight blockade and good use of softness. Those who say "Du" are also desperate. During the Three Kingdoms period, Zhuge Liang skillfully laid out eight doors in the eight-array diagram, namely, "Hugh, Health, Injury, Du, Scene, Death, Surprise and Open". Others believe that the unique kungfu was taught by Du Guanyin, a famous martial arts master in Jiangxi, during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. Du Guanyin is good at grasping, so his offensive and defensive skills are outstanding. This door also pays attention to throwing, but different from throwing, it mainly destroys the opponent's center of gravity to win. Popular in Chengdu, Chongqing, Leshan, Zigong, Nanchong and other places.
6. Hong Men
Hong Men is very popular in Sichuan, which is distributed in Chengdu-Chongqing, Leshan, Wanxian, Daxian and Fuling. There are two factions, North and South. Southern school pays attention to the integration of essence, qi and spirit. Internal and external training, winning by strength, promoting by sound, fierce and abnormal. The northern school moves in Siping, Malaysia, with obvious stretching, wrist turning and arm turning, and is good at defense and attack. They all pay attention to aggressive eyes and face the enemy head-on. The movements are wide open and close, and both hands and feet are equally important. Defensive forearm block is the method of "hiding pearls in the sleeve". If it is high, it will be picked up, if it is short, it will be cut, and if it is not high or short, it will be rowed by hand.
Besides big and small fists, there are nearly 70 kinds of boxing routines in Hong Men, such as hand-binding, five tigers fighting, two-way red, Yan Qing red, big eight immortals and so on. Instruments include Qinglong Sword, Emei short stick, Wu Xiu knife, dragon gun, Chunqiu knife and stick stool.
Emei martial arts tricks
The Emei school has the so-called "Twelve Movements"-heaven, earth, heaven, heart, dragon, crane, wind, cloud, big, small, secluded and mysterious. There are also the so-called "six stunts of static kung fu", that is, gait, heavy punching, shrinking the ground, hanging the bag, acupoints and nirvana. There are "three instruments": one sword method, one hairpin method (Emei thorn) and one needle method (hidden weapons). Emei school's stunts include not only the thirty-six points pointing method of plough, but also Emei swordsmanship.
Emei Wushu makes good use of the power of five peaks and six elbows. The five peaks are: head, shoulder, elbow, hip and knee; Six elbow refers to: upper elbow, lower elbow, left elbow, right elbow, back elbow and inverted elbow. Offensive and defensive techniques are flexible. "Teng, move, flash, jump, float, sink, swallow and spit" are the main attack methods of Emei Sect.
The martial arts of Emei Sect are between Shaolin masculine and Wudang feminine, with both rigidity and softness, both internal and external, and both length and weakness. Both attack and defense are involved in the boxing classics: "Emei only thinks that the fist does not receive, the gun does not walk in circles, and the sword does not tail." "Turn all laws into one law and break all laws with one law." In short, it is the combination of weakness and truth, which combines the advantages of Nanquan, Shaolin and Wudang in the position of women.
To sum up, Emei Wushu is very suitable for women to practice, but there are many sects, so we should choose it carefully according to our physical condition and needs.
