The life of the character
When Wang Laoting was a child, he studied Chinese with Mr. Qiao, a private school teacher in the countryside. Thanks to his efforts, he won the favor of Qiao Shi. Joe's grandfather was a local prison officer in the Qing Dynasty. He once learned the secret method of a southern prisoner, and used a six-inch needle to penetrate bilateral meandering pools to arm _ point to treat lymphoid tuberculosis. However, this secret method has been handed down in the Qiao family for three generations, and no one has put it into practice. Mr. Qiao passed it on to Wang Laoting, who liked him very much. At that time, Joe's relatives and friends who worked in a jewelry building in Beijing went back to the province to visit relatives. They suffered from tuberculosis of cervical lymph nodes for several years, and they were cured repeatedly. In their spare time, they told Joe about the patient's pain. Joe asked his relatives and friends to go back to Beijing to have a pair of six-inch silver needles for treatment. Teacher Qiao carefully dictated the ancestral secret method of acupuncture to Wang Laoting, who knew nothing about medicine at that time. He used a six-inch silver needle to treat patients. After several stitches, the effect is wonderful. The patient gave them a pair of silver needles to thank Joe and his disciples. In this way, Wang Laoting took a pair of six-inch silver needles and embarked on the journey of "acupuncture".
When I first started learning, I had a strong interest. All visitors receive free reception and compulsory treatment. Because of the obvious curative effect, dozens of villagers and friends from far and near came to seek treatment for anyone suffering from "mouse sore neck" (that is, scrofula), so Wang Laoting also accumulated some clinical experience.
19 16 Wang Laoting was admitted to China University to study law for two years. He felt that there was still no way out after graduation, but a six-inch silver needle would ease the patient's pain. So he resolutely gave up the idea of going to college, worshipped Chen Weishi, a famous acupuncturist in Sichuan, and formally embarked on the journey of learning acupuncture. He thinks that six-inch silver needle can only treat one disease, but only by systematically learning the theory and experience of acupuncture can we treat many diseases. His acupuncture teacher, Chen, is the second generation descendant of ancestral acupuncture, and his father, Chen Danxian (known as "Chen"), is famous for his superb acupuncture skills in Beijing. When it was introduced into Chen, because of its combination of acupuncture and medicine and more comprehensive technology, Wang Laoting's vision was broadened and his knowledge and technology were improved day by day.
1929, Dr. Wang Laoting officially obtained the Doctor's License of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, and obtained the independent practice license. His examiner was Sun Xianglin, a famous acupuncturist at that time, who was very appreciated. When the king came to thank him, he found that all the needles used were gold needles, which was very important. Because he read "It is better to use gold as a needle" many times when he was studying, but he had never seen a real gold needle. Then I went to a gold shop and made a set of gold needles (including various types of filigree needles and six-inch gold needles). Since then, the old doctor Wang Laoting began to treat the sufferings of the general public with gold needles, and gradually gained the reputation of "Golden Needle King Laoting". Therefore, it has the reputation of "Lu Shouyan in the south and Wanglaoting in the north".
Dr. Wang Laoting loves acupuncture. In order to improve the acupuncture technique and effectively relieve the pain for more patients, he has been studying all kinds of medical books, from classic medical works such as Huangdi Neijing and Difficult Classic to acupuncture lectures and books compiled by various Chinese medicine colleges and institutes in China after liberation. Dr. Wang Laoting thinks that the books he benefited the most are Acupuncture Dacheng and Huangdi Neijing. After careful study of the other side, the secrets of foreign stations, the golden mirror of medical clan and the treasure mirror of eastern medicine, the arrangement of meridians and acupoints, the examination of the meridian diagram and the exertion of the fourteen classics, it finally formed its own unique experience system. 1956 Wang Laoting is not only the director of acupuncture department of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, but also a professor of Beijing Second Medical College (now Capital Medical University), director of Beijing Chinese Medicine Society, director of Beijing Acupuncture Society and editorial board of journal of traditional chinese medicine. He started as a "golden needle", read through the classics, was good at clinic, and had a healthy style of study. His acupuncture prescriptions, such as Twelve Needles of Hands and Feet, Addition of Internal Organs and Six Organs, Thirteen Needles of Du Meridian and Old Ten Needles, were formed in the 1960s, which played an important academic role in the development of contemporary acupuncture prescriptions, and are still widely used and of great research value. His emphasis on acupuncture technology and the application of penetrating points have become part of the academic characteristics of acupuncture department of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Although Professor Wang Laoting passed away, his contribution to the acupuncture department of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the cause of acupuncture in Beijing is well-known, which truly realized Wang Lao's own wish: to make a useful contribution to the people.
Summary evaluation
Wang Lao's clinical experience can be summarized as follows:
1. The whole idea runs through the whole process. The acupoint matching method of "five internal organs plus Shu Ge" put forward by Mr. Wang Laoting is a vivid example of applying this whole concept.
2. Distinguish between deficiency and excess, and make up and reduce clearly. According to predecessors' discussion and decades of clinical research, Mr. Wang Laoting summarized the reinforcing and reducing method as "advancing and retreating according to the needs of meridians", that is, according to the trend of each meridian. Twisting the needle along the warp is the supplement, and twisting the needle against the warp is the diarrhea. Professor Wang Laoting advocates reinforcing and reducing the diarrhea in strict accordance with the starting and ending directions of the Fourteen Meridians and the principle of Yin rising and Yang descending, and forms a simple and effective reinforcing and reducing method with light, moderate and heavy stimulation, instead of advocating other special acupuncture methods. Acupoints can also reflect Wang Lao's emphasis on tonifying deficiency and purging excess. In the book Medical Invention, there is a prescription of Shiquan Dabu Decoction, which is composed of Bazhen Decoction, Astragalus membranaceus and Cinnamomum cassia, so as to tonify qi and blood. Wang Lao has always attached importance to the application of the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine in acupuncture and moxibustion clinic, and after imitating this prescription, he drew up the "Acupuncture and Moxibustion Prescription".
3. nip in the bud, can nip in the bud. On the premise of putting the stomach first, Wang Lao paid attention to preventing diseases before they happen, and put forward the theory of "old ten needles" to treat diseases and prevent diseases before they happen. The application of "Old Ten Needles" in the prevention and treatment of physical weakness or illness, as well as the recuperation of chronic diseases, "Spleen flourishing is not affected by evil", spleen and stomach are strengthened, and all diseases can be prevented, which embodies Wang Lao's academic viewpoint of "prevention first".
4. Treat the symptoms and cure the root cause, mainly the stomach. In the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine, it is emphasized that "it is necessary to seek the root of the disease before it is treated". Professor Wang Laoting put forward the viewpoint of "treating both the symptoms and root causes, focusing on the stomach". "Su Wentai's Yin Yangming Theory" says: "Spleen, soil, the center of governance." Spleen is dirty soil, which irrigates all directions, transports body fluids, ascends the clear, transmits subtle water grains to the heart and lungs, generates qi and blood through the heart and lungs, and nourishes the whole body. Only the spleen and stomach dominate the circulation of qi, and the circulation of qi and the balance of ascending and descending can be normal. Deming four recognized that "the stomach is the sea of water valley, which helps the world, gives birth to all things, and all the internal organs dominate." Wei Rong's innocence is full of valley spirit. " When the temper rises, the vitality will be abundant and the human body will have vitality. The so-called stomach qi leads to health, and without stomach qi, it leads to death.
According to the prescriptions of Buzhong Yiqi Decoction and Tiaozhong Yiqi Decoction in spleen and stomach theory, Mr. Wang Lao summed up the famous "Old Ten Needles" acupuncture prescription in clinical practice.
5. Pay attention to meridian differentiation, and bring forth the old and bring forth the new. Mr. Wang Laoting paid attention to the eight principles of syndrome differentiation, and at the same time, made full use of his profound understanding of meridian knowledge and combined it with meridian syndrome differentiation, which made the treatment more targeted and greatly improved the clinical effect. Su Wen Wei Lun said that "Yangming meridian point is the only way to treat flaccidity syndrome", so Yangming meridian point is mainly used to treat paralysis syndrome in clinic. When the old doctor Wang Laoting began to treat paralysis, he also chose the above-mentioned acupoints according to the ancient training, but the actual effect was not ideal, so he began to explore new treatment ideas. He believes that the Du Meridian is the sea of Yang pulse, which governs the Yang of the whole body, and all functional activities of the human body are dominated by Yang. If Yang Can does not rise or let go, the yin and blood will stagnate and the tendons will lose their glory, so it is not used for weakness. Besides, the Du meridian and Ren meridian are interlinked, and one yin and one yang are in harmony. Therefore, the Governor can make the yang flow smoothly, and the yin and Yang Can's qi and blood harmonize, thus restoring the functional activities of limbs. On this basis, he proposed taking Du meridian alone to treat flaccidity syndrome, and formulated thirteen prescriptions for Du meridian: Baihui, Fengfu, Dazhui, Daodao, Shen Zhu, Zhiyang, Contraction of tendons, Suspended Ridge, Mingmen, Yaoyangguan and Changqiang. Tonifying method can strengthen yang, strengthen tendons and bones, replenish marrow and strengthen brain; Diarrhea can subdue yang, clear heat, and ventilate the manager's qi. For the treatment of stroke, he first attaches importance to the smoothness of menstrual qi, and thinks that when menstrual qi is comfortable, blood vessels can circulate, while blood vessels can nourish muscles and make joints smooth. Furthermore, thirteen methods of apoplexy are put forward, namely, pulling the right needle, pulling the right needle through, twelve needles in hands and feet, rectifying deviation, twelve needles through, opening and closing to wake up, restoring yang to strengthen the body, supervising the pulse with thirteen needles, treating back Shu, treating old ten needles, treating ren meridian, treating six fu Shu and acupuncture. Among the thirteen methods of apoplexy, the commonly used acupoints for meridian passage include "Twelve acupoints of hand and foot" (bilateral Hegu, Neiguan, Quchi, Sanyinjiao, Zusanli and Yanglingquan) and twelve penetrating needling methods (penetrating shoulder and arm, penetrating crevices, penetrating Quchi to avoid sea, penetrating Waiguan, penetrating Neiguan, Hegu to Laogong, penetrating Yangchi to Daling and jumping around). Twelve points of hand and foot are selected from five Shu points, with Yang meridian as the main meridian and Yin and Yang matching. It is the first choice for stroke and can be used for patients with weak body. However, the penetrating needling method has strong needling sensation and great stimulation, and can be used for patients with long course of disease, stubborn illness or joint contracture, but it has the disadvantage of damaging vital qi, so the reinforcing and reducing of deficiency and excess must be mastered. For patients with physical weakness or deficiency syndrome, qi should be obtained first after acupuncture, and then penetrated to the opposite acupoint; If you are strong, you can directly insert the needle into the opposite acupoint, and then implement the reinforcing and reducing method when you are angry. Collection and arrangement of medical education network
In acupuncture and moxibustion treatment, if the syndrome differentiation and treatment are clear, the treatment method is determined, and the prescription of acupoint matching is very important. Wang Laoting summarized the principle of prescription into the following three points: paying attention to the combination of part and whole, adjusting the function of qi and blood of viscera, focusing on meridian, and combining syndrome, cause and specimen. He is very strict in choosing acupoints and tries to be accurate. After the position is determined, pinch a "cross" in the middle of the acupoint with the left thumb nail, and the center of the intersection point is opposite to the center of the acupoint, and then gently press it. He has always insisted on the cooperation of both hands in needle insertion, opposed to single-handed needle insertion, and paid special attention to the cooperation of his left hand. He believes that the hands are matched, the force is appropriate, the needle is firmly held, and the acupuncture points are accurate. Patients will not swing from side to side or shift up and down, and patients generally will not feel pain. He is considerate to patients, dignified in attitude and cautious in operation, which really feels like "catching tigers and dragons".
6, conditioning qi and blood, different diseases with the same treatment Wang Lao believes that yin and yang imbalance is the essence of human pathology, Yang is the disease of Yang, and Yin is the disease of Yang. The function of acupuncture and moxibustion is to adjust the yin and yang of the human body and achieve the combination of yin and yang. The maintenance of yin-yang balance in human body depends on the balance of qi-blood function of zang-fu organs. Acupuncture regulates the function of five internal organs by regulating qi and blood. The "old ten needles" are widely used in the treatment of many diseases. Similarly, the "Old Ten Needles" can regulate the spleen and stomach of middle energizer, thus regulating qi and blood. It has been widely used in clinic.
