Wawushan National Forest Park is under the administrative jurisdiction of Hongya County, Meishan City, and is located in the western edge of Sichuan Basin. It is 0/80km away from Chengdu/kloc-and covers an area of/kloc-0.05 million mu. It consists of Wawushan virgin forest adventure scenic spot, Yuping artificial forest resort, Bamian Mountain ancient exploration range rover area and other series of scenic spots. The air is fresh and the visibility is high, just like a fairyland, and ecstasy is its greatest charm. Wawu Mountain, the core scenic spot, is a famous historical and cultural mountain in China. It is one of the birthplaces of Taoism, and is known as "the hometown of dove flowers in China" and "the kingdom of azaleas in the world". At present, it has won the titles of National Key Eco-tourism Scenic Spot, Top Ten Demonstration Units of National Forest Park, National Civilized Forest Park, Provincial Nature Reserve, Sichuan Forest Restoration Demonstration Base, China Forest Restoration Pilot Construction Unit, China Forest Health Base and China Forest Oxygen Bar.

Wawu Mountain, also known as "Shushan", has an altitude of 1 154 m to 2830 m and a platform area of about 1500 mu. As early as the Tang and Song Dynasties, it was called "the second best in Sichuan" with Emei Mountain.
