The birthplace of the largest pharmacy in China is Tongrentang Pharmacy. No.24 Dashilan outside Qianmen, Beijing, has stood for more than 300 years. This famous old drugstore was founded in A.D. 1669, in the eighth year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty. It is the birthplace of Tongrentang brand and one of the largest pharmacies in China. As early as A.D. 1723, the first year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty, Tongrentang Pharmacy began to offer imperial medicinal materials to the court. After more than 300 years of historical tempering, Tongrentang Pharmacy has become a classic of quality and credibility in the eyes of the people because it dare not save labor and reduce material resources in processing ancient laws and practice benevolence and morality with fellow practitioners.
