Take you to Luzhniki Stadium, the final venue of the 20 18 Moscow World Cup.
Luzhniki Stadium was designed and built by architect Alexander vlasov from 1955 to 1956. The venue is located on the main axis of Moscow urban planning at 1930, connecting the Kremlin, Christian church and Moscow public university in series. Luzhniki Stadium was once the main venue of 1980 Moscow Olympic Games. Since 20 13, the stadium has been temporarily closed for renovation. The stadium will be reopened on 20 18, becoming one of the venues for the World Cup in Russia, and will usher in the finals of this World Cup.

The renovation project was designed by SPEECH architectural office, an architectural studio in Moscow. The basic premise of this project is to maintain the appearance of the wall and roof of this historic building, and require architects to increase the capacity and use area of the site under the limitation of existing architectural forms, and finally realize a world-class stadium that meets the competition standards of the International Football Federation.

▼ Maintain the original architectural appearance.

The maximum capacity of the reconstructed stadium is 865,438+0,000 people, an increase of 3,000 seats compared with the old stadium. Before this renovation project, the visual space of the original stadium 10% was restricted. The designer redesigned this seating area on the double-deck inclined plane, and set up 100 viewing boxes in the third floor space above it.

This change means that all fans can watch the wonderful game from any seat on the stadium. In addition, the 1950 VIP box has been added to the venue, bringing more comfortable experience to the audience. ▼ Compared with the old gymnasium, the reconstructed gymnasium has 3,000 seats.

▼ All seats after renovation will get a panoramic view of the game.

The venue includes a colonnade around the outside of the main building, and the shape of the inner wall and roof of the colonnade is preserved to the maximum extent. The designer built a brand-new pedestrian corridor and a striking waterfall staircase on the inside of this historic outer wall, leading the audience to shuttle between the floors of the venue. The only newly embedded decoration outside the venue is a strip-shaped metal plate laid around the roof, which depicts various forms of sports postures. The graphic design of metal plate comes from Art Lebedev studio. The observation deck located 23 meters around the venue will be open to everyone. Here, visitors can get a glimpse of Moscow's city features and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sparrow Mountain and Academy.

Before the renovation, Luzhniki Stadium was used not only as a stadium, but also as a hotel and sports room. This renovation retains the multi-function of the stadium, with a new large-scale commercial conference center on the south side and a fitness center, sports activity center and hot spring spa on the north side. The reformed football field will not only hold sports events, but also gain a variety of brand-new functions.
