Pingyin rose was identified as the representative of China Rose in 1982. 1983 The National Rose Research Association recognized pingyin rose as a national high-quality variety and Pingyin as a national high-quality rose breeding base. 1986, the organizing committee of China specialty town named Pingyin as "China Rose Town". 1996, the Ministry of Forestry named Pingyin County as "the hometown of roses in China". 1997 China and New Zealand issued a set of "pingyin rose" stamps. In 2000, Pingyin County was once again named "the hometown of roses in China" by the State Forestry Administration and the China Flower Association. In 2003, pingyin rose was awarded "Product Protection Award of Geographical Origin" by AQSIQ and National Standardization Committee.
