Practise medicine to help people

Legend has it that there is a pot Weng in the world (about the 2nd century AD). I don't know its name, so it's called Gong Hu. "Said, calendar Yang people, selling medicine in the city. No price, no treatment. The speaker said: Take this medicine, and you will vomit. If you get well one day, nothing will work. Collect tens of thousands of dollars a day and distribute them to the poor and hungry people in the city. From this point of view, Hu Weng is a hermit doctor with good medical skills and charity. Because it often hangs a pot as a medical symbol in the medical department, it is called a pot Weng, and there are many myths and legends in folklore. Hu Weng once taught Fei Changfang medicine. Although this record is legendary, if we uncover the shroud of Gong Hu and Fei Changfang, it is not difficult to know that they were famous doctors in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Gong Hu's deeds are widely circulated, and almost all physicians in the past dynasties celebrated his medical practice with "the joy of hanging a pot", or hung a gourd in the clinic as a symbol of medical practice. Today, many pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies are still in use.

The old wine thought that "pot" was homophonic, and the suspicion came from "Hu" and "Xuan". Later, pharmacies used gourd as a cover, and pharmaceutical companies also used gourd as a trademark pattern. There was a saying that "I don't know what medicine is sold in gourd".

Doctors are kind-hearted and help all sentient beings with medical skills, which is known to the world, and there is a saying that hanging pots helps the world. Its canon is almost derived from this.

(of a doctor) cure diseases and save lives.

During the Spring and Autumn Period, Bian Que, a physician of Qi State, heard that Prince Guo died suddenly, and asked about the symptoms of Prince Zhong, thinking that only pretending to be dead could save the prince. Disciple Ziyang was asked to sharpen the needle and put a few needles in the prince's acupoint, and the prince woke up. After decoction and treatment, Bian Que was cured in 20 days, and was awarded the title of "Wonderful Hand Rejuvenation".

Contemporary Huatuo

There is an established habit among Chinese people all over the world. When people sincerely thank a doctor for saving his life, they often give him eight words: Hua Tuo reincarnated, a wonderful hand rejuvenating. In other words, in people's minds, Hua Tuo is regarded as synonymous with imperial doctor. Hua Tuo was a folk doctor in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. He was very famous at that time for his superb medical skill in relieving patients' pain. However, there were many famous doctors in ancient China. Why do people say that Hua Tuo is near-re-embodiment when praising doctors for their superb medical skills? What is the magic of Hua Tuo's medical skill? Why did he become a wonderful doctor in the eyes of future generations?

Let's briefly introduce Hua Tuo. Hua Tuo has biographies in the official history, that is, Chen Shou's History of the Three Kingdoms and Ye Fan's Book of the Later Han Dynasty, all of which have biographies of Hua Tuo. According to historical records, Hua Tuo was a character named Fang and Ren. This qiaocheng county was the qiaocheng county in Guo Pei at that time, and the qiaocheng county in the Eastern Han Dynasty mainly included Bozhou in Anhui and Yongcheng in Henan, but there was no record of Hua Tuo's family history at all. We don't know what kind of family Hua Tuo's family is, and we don't know who Hua Tuo studied medicine with. There is no record. This can only explain one problem, that is, Hua Tuo's social status at that time was very low. Due to his low social status, his life experience was not recorded by the teacher. Moreover, it can be seen from these two official biographies that the History of the Three Kingdoms included him in the Biography of Ji Fang, and the Book of the Later Han Dynasty included him in the Biography of Fang Shu. What are the meanings of Ji Fang and Fang Shu? In ancient China, people engaged in medicine, astronomy, astrology and divination were called alchemists, or alchemists. This is the basic situation of Hua Tuo that we know from the only remaining data.

In the era when Hua Tuo lived, the social status of doctors was low. In addition, that era was from the last years of the Eastern Han Dynasty to the early years of the Three Kingdoms in China history. At this time, it is the time when the princes are divided and the warlords are fighting. Therefore, there are few records about Hua Tuo in the history books, neither his life experience, nor his love between teachers and students, nor his medical prescriptions handed down to later generations. Therefore, only a few short stories about his treatment were left in the history books.

Why do we always take Hua Tuo as a substitute for the imperial doctor? Let's talk about the first aspect. Anticipating diseases and predicting life and death like a god is the most magical aspect of Hua Tuo. Here we will introduce the medical records of Hua Tuo's treatment in the history books. The first medical record said that it was the original country of Ganling, which is Linqing in Shandong today. My wife in the country of Ganling was pregnant for six months, and suddenly she felt abdominal pain, which was very uncomfortable. Then ask Hua tuo for treatment. Hua tuo felt his pulse and said that the fetus was dead. Then, Hua Tuo asked someone to touch the woman's abdomen to see if the fetus is on the left or right. Hua Tuo told this person that the left is a male fetus and the right is a female fetus. As a result, this person touched it and said it was on the left. Hua tuo prepared a potion, and then let Gan's wife drink it. After drinking it, I gave birth to a fetus, which is dead and is a boy. As soon as the boy was born, Mrs. Gan Ling's abdominal pain stopped immediately. This is the first example. He can tell whether the fetus is dead or alive, and he can also judge the pulse.

In the second example, a former Du You named Denton fell ill. When he is well, please take another look at him. After feeling his pulse, Hua Tuo told him that although he was in good health, he was still weak. In the meantime, please remember that you can't live as husband and wife. If you do this, something will happen, and his tongue will stick out a few inches before you die. As a result, after he recovered, the news reached his wife's ears. His wife/kloc-came to see him more than 0/00 miles, and lived a husband-and-wife life that night. Three days later, he fell ill and died. Before he died, his tongue stuck out for several inches. This is the second medical record. He knew that this man would die if he had sex.

In the third example, Chen Deng, the prefect of Guangling, is a person whom Cao Cao trusts very much. He has a strange disease, the symptoms are upset, blushing and unable to eat. Please ask Hua Tuo to meet him. After Hua Tuo felt his pulse, tell him how many liters of worms are in your stomach. Then, let him take medicine quickly. As a result, Hua Tuo prepared two liters of medicine for him. After drinking, he probably had a meal, and he spit out several liters of worms. After vomiting, he recovered. However, after getting well, Hua Tuo told him that your illness would recur after three years. If you meet a good doctor when you have an attack, you can still be saved. If you don't meet a good doctor, you are finished. Three years later, Chen Deng's illness really relapsed. Hua tuo was away at that time, and no one treated him. Chen Deng is dead. This is Hua Tuo's prediction that Chen Deng died of disease recurrence three years later.

The fourth example, today in Du Yan County, Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, there was a Mr. Yan who went to visit Hua Tuo with some friends. After they came in, Hua Tuo asked Mr. Yan if he was a little sick. Mr. Yan said no, I'm normal. Hua tuo said, according to your face, you have an acute disease, don't drink too much, and go home quickly after dinner. As a result, this Mr. Yan had a meal, sat for a while, went home by car with his friends, fell ill on the way home, and then fell off the car. People in the same trade carried him to the car and sent him home, and he died that night.

In the fifth example, a junior officer named Mei Ping was discharged due to illness. Meiping's home is in Guangling, more than 200 miles away from home, so she found a family to stay. It happened that Hua Tuo also came to stay in this farmhouse that night. The master asked Hua Tuo to diagnose Mei Ping. After Hua Tuo felt his pulse, he told him it was late. If I had been treated earlier, the disease would not have developed to this day. Hua tuo said, hurry home and see your family. In five days, you'll be dead. After hearing this, Meiping hurried home the next day and got home. She died five days later.

In the sixth example, there is a person named Xu. When he got sick, he told Hua Tuo that I went to the doctor yesterday, gave me a needle and inserted a stomach tube, but I coughed badly after puncture and couldn't sleep at night. Then Hua Tuo said that he missed your stomach tube and injured your liver by mistake. In this way, your appetite will decrease day by day, and it will not work after five days. Sure enough, after five days, this Du You surnamed Xu died. Hua tuo can predict the life and death of patients. Predicting life and death has become a very strong skill of Hua Tuo. One of the important reasons why people regard Hua Tuo as an imperial doctor is that he regards disease as a god and predicts life and death.
