Yoga is an alchemy to balance and transform spiritual energy. In order to realize this process, we need to know how to use these spiritual energies in a practical way. In this chapter, we will explain DOSHAS (energy) which is closely related to yoga practice. The finer counterparts of vata, pitta and kapha are called prana, tejas and Ojas, also known as "the essence of life". The basic and main form of vata, pitta and kapha is to control routine physical operations. If this basic principle is properly applied, the spiritual potential can be enhanced. They belong not only to the energy of the body, but also to the subtle and causal body.

Prana, tejas and ojas are the embodiment of vata, pitta and kapha's positive nature or interests. Unlike DOSHAS(vata, pitta, kapha), prana, tejas and ojas promote health, creativity and happiness, and provide support for hardworking yogis and meditators.

Prana-vital qi: subtle energy of qi-Prana is the main energy, and the intelligence guided by Prana is hidden in all psychological and physiological functions and is responsible for coordinating breathing, feeling and mind. On the internal level, it dominates the display and harmony of all higher-level consciousness States.

Tejas- inner brilliance: subtle energy of fire-tejas is the light of life that we digest gas, feelings and thoughts. On the internal level, it dominates the display of all higher-order perceptual abilities.

OJAS-primitive vitality: subtle energy of water-OJAS is the necessary reserve to maintain life and the foundation of physical and mental endurance; It is the essence of internalizing and absorbing food, water, air, feelings and ideas. Internally, it is responsible for nourishing and laying the foundation for the development of all higher-level abilities.

These are three internal forces. Prana and tejas are both the foundation and the presentation of ojas. Tejas is the heat and light energy of ojas, and it has greasy properties, such as ghee, which can keep the flame burning. Plana comes from the energy and power that Hojas was ignited by Tejas. Ojas is equivalent to potential, mental perseverance and mastering the nervous system of Prana and Tejas. Ojas can be converted into tejas (heat), and tejas can be converted into prana (electricity).

Prana, tejas and ojas are like qi, yang and yin in Chinese medicine. Plana, like the breath of life and the breath of the universe, is a breath of new life, which is also related to wind and spirituality. Tejas, like the willpower and positive vitality of primitive people, is the fire of primitive people. Ojas, like endurance and perseverance, is similar to primitive femininity, and its essence is water.

The main rule of ayurvedic therapy is to prevent overdose, because overdose will lead to disease. Dosha, which is dominant, is often excessive in our constitution, and it must be controlled again through proper health care. This requires correct diet, herbs, exercise and meditation to reverse the natural trend of this energy.

Yoga practice should add a new rule. Yoga practitioners seek to increase prana, tejas and ojas. They are pure forms of energy, and they have no ability to cause diseases. These three essences are necessary to maintain life, and only when one of them is enhanced by the loss of other essences will problems arise. Generally speaking, prana, tejas and ojas are healthy energy, which is helpful for renewal and transformation. But the problem is how to keep them growing at a similar rate, so that if they are balanced, there will be no problems.

Increasing Plana can provide enthusiasm, creativity and adaptability for practice; Without prana, we will lack the energy and motivation to practice. Joining tejas can provide courage, fearlessness and insight to lead us forward; Without tejas, we will make wrong choices and judgments or be indecisive. It is necessary to increase ojas to keep our sustainable development calm, confident and patient. Without ojas, we will lose stability and calm. If any of these energies is insufficient, our spiritual growth will be limited. It is this kind of energy that can enhance our physical and mental health and help to treat all diseases, especially chronic diseases, including restoring youthful vitality.
