What are the five precepts of Buddhism?
The five commandments are: no killing, no stealing, no adultery, no lying, no drinking;

Buddhist precepts are good for health, such as the Five Commandments, which can promote physical and mental health.

(1) Don't kill: In behavior, don't intentionally kill, including not committing suicide and not helping others to kill, not only that, but also care for life and do good deeds; In the diet, eat three lean meats (don't kill, don't kill for me), and even be completely vegetarian; Spiritually, we should cultivate compassion, eliminate hatred and practice humiliation. Life is the foundation of everything. To respect and care for other lives is to care for yourself. Hatred and anger can easily accumulate toxins in the body and poison interpersonal relationships, thus causing substantial harm to body and mind. Vegetarian food is easy to digest, can purify blood, reduce diseases and is good for health, which has been confirmed by a large number of contemporary studies. Therefore, patience and gentleness are the first, don't bite the hand that feeds you. It is very reasonable for the ancients to sum up that "the benevolent lives long".

(2) Do not steal: in behavior, neither give nor take; Mentally, he is a pure-hearted man who has no desire and is not greedy for ill-gotten gains. Property is man's second "life". If you commit theft, corruption and other crimes. Your insatiable behavior not only violates the national laws and poisons the social environment, but also damages your reputation and even your body. It's a penny wise and pound foolish.

(3) abstinence without fornication: manifested in behavior, no promiscuity between men and women; Expressed in spirit, not obsessed with sex, obsessed with women. Although Tibetan monks don't demand complete abstinence like Buddhism in China, they still regard lust as the biggest obstacle to monasticism. Indulging in lust and promiscuity between men and women not only destroys families and harms society, but also is the primary source of spreading sexually transmitted diseases and AIDS and killing people. This precept is to put an end to this harm from the source.

(4) Don't tell lies: Don't tell lies, and don't deceive or mislead others for personal gain. Lying not only violates social morality, damages personal reputation, but also causes physical and mental obstacles over time. Similarly, two tongues (sowing dissension), bad mouth (swearing) and strange language (swearing) will also cause trouble from the mouth, so we should all give up.

(5) Abstinence from alcohol: Drinking alcohol can be addictive, and it is easy to make people lose their minds, talk nonsense, lose control of their emotions, and even do things that violate the law and discipline. At the same time, excessive drinking can also cause alcoholism, which is seriously harmful to the body. Therefore, this commandment has always been listed as one of the five commandments by Buddhism, but if you drink alcohol for medical needs, Buddhism is allowed. In addition, smoking and taking drugs can also anesthetize people's nerves and damage their health, which is also rejected by Buddhists.
