High dietary fiber content in coarse grains can increase satiety and prevent "three highs"
Not all grains are considered as "whole grains". Only those hulls, germ and endosperm are intact, or the proportion of bran, germ and endosperm is the same as that of the original grain after crushing and grinding, can be called "whole grains".
Whole grains are rich in dietary fiber and have the following advantages:
1. can delay gastric emptying time and increase satiety, so it is helpful to control food intake and lose weight.
2. Increase the amount of feces, promote intestinal peristalsis and prevent constipation.
3. Extend the digestion and absorption time of sugar, delay the rise of blood sugar, and keep blood sugar stable.
4. Cholic acid can be excreted with feces, reducing serum cholesterol.
