In fact, besides eating these things can prolong life, collecting human incense can also achieve the same effect. So many immortals, including Guanyin Bodhisattva, attach great importance to the collection of human incense. Elder Jinchi is responsible for collecting incense for Guanyin Bodhisattva in Kannonji. In other words, Elder Jinchi is the agent of Guanyin Bodhisattva on earth. Since Elder Jinchi has such a close relationship with Guanyin Bodhisattva, it is not surprising that his life expectancy is longer than that of ordinary people. This is also a reward for Guanyin Bodhisattva's years of hard work in collecting incense for Guanyin Bodhisattva's temple.
The second reason is that the quality of life of the elderly in Jinchi is very high, which can be said to be very luxurious. This can be reflected in many ways when the Tang master and disciples first met the elders. First of all, it can be said that the clothes are very luxurious. The old man in Jinchi is wearing a Pelufang hat, which is the pearl of the cat's eye. Phnom Penh, wearing a collar shirt and emerald green hair, shines; A pair of monk shoes holds eight treasures, and a cane is embedded in a cloud star. Look at the tea set used by Elder Jinchi. It's very expensive. The tea he drinks is very good. The tea set is a plate made of suet jade with three blue tea bells inlaid with gold; Take a copper pot and pour three cups of fragrant tea. It's really colorful, and it's better than osmanthus fragrance. Even the Tang Priest praised him again and again: "Good thing! Good object! Really delicious! "
What makes Elder Jinchi most proud is that he has as many as 700 or 800 pieces of cassock, which is really full of embroidery, and the walls of Lingluo are all embroidered with flowers and brocade, and embroidery sells gold. From the above introduction, we can see that Elder Jinchi is pampered like a local tyrant in Guanyin Temple, and his life span is naturally much longer than that of ordinary people.
The third and most crucial reason is that Lao Jinchi got the secret of health preservation from the black bear essence. Elder Jinchi and Black Bear Spirit are very good friends. They are very close. Elder Jinchi is the guest of the black bear essence, and the black bear essence has great respect for Elder Jinchi, which can be seen from the invitation he wrote to Elder Jinchi who claimed to be the waiter Xiong Bi. The black bear is a man. He often comes to Kannonji to give lectures to Elder Jinchi. He taught Old Jinchi some skills to nourish the soul and persuade others. It is these fitness and persuasion skills that are the main reason why the elderly in Jinchi can live to 270 years old.
Of course, Old Jinchi could have lived longer. It's a pity that this man became greedy after seeing Tang Priest's cassock. He wanted to burn the Tang Priest's robe and then the temple. When the story came to light, old Jinchi died because he had no face to see someone hit the wall. This is a kind of living thought, but also a kind of dead thought; One thought of good, one thought of evil; It's all good to think about it! Cause and effect in the world are mutually causal.
