Dr Anton lives in a small town in Denmark, but works in a refugee camp in Sudan. In these two very different worlds, he and his family often face conflicts, which leads to a dilemma of revenge and forgiveness. Anton and his wife Marianne have two young sons. The couple are on the verge of divorce. Twelve-year-old son Elias was bullied at school until he met Krish to protect him. Krish's mother died of cancer, and Krish was uneasy about her death. Elias and Clichy soon became good friends, but Clichy's revenge tendency tested their friendship and brought them danger. With the help of their parents, they understand the complexity, pain and sympathy of human emotions.

Perhaps, "a better world" not only exists in imagination, but it is entirely possible to become a reality ... Anton (mikael persbrandt) is a doctor, and he lives in two places. Although his home is in an idyllic town in Denmark, he works in a refugee camp in Africa. In these two very different worlds, he and his family have to face and deal with all kinds of conflicts.

Anton and his wife Marianne (trine dyrholm) raised two little boys. Because they have been separated for too long, and Anton's cheating behavior has never been finally forgiven by his wife, they are now in a crisis of divorce. Their eldest son elias (Markus Rygaard), 10 years old, was often bullied by others at school until he got help and protection from Christian (William Johnk Nielsen). He is a transfer student who has just moved from London. Because his mother died of cancer recently, he and his father Klaus (ulrich thomsen) both experienced unimaginable pain.

Elias and Christian soon became good friends, and a very strong connection was established between the two boys. However, it is because of Christian's hatred that he also involved Ilya in a very dangerous revenge game, which is likely to lead to irreparable tragic consequences. Their friendship is destined to be put to the final test, because they all put their lives in danger in a joke-finally, with the help of their parents, they finally chose to give up and struggle excessively.
