In the past, western medicine criticized meditation, thinking that meditation legs crossed, blood vessels were pressed down, and blood circulation was not good, so it was numb. Speaking of vascular oppression, look at those people who are struggling to carry the burden, and the blood vessels on their legs are bulging one by one. That's because they exert too much force, so the blood vessels and nerves are injured and tangled. Meditation does not entangle the muscles in the legs. Western medicine does not understand the truth of Chinese medicine or even Taoism. Numbness has nothing to do with the obstruction of blood circulation, but because qi and blood are unclear and turbid qi has not fallen. After the pulse passes slowly, my legs are not only numb, but also very comfortable and I don't want to get off the seat. The so-called joy, including the meaning of pleasure, pleasure is still rough.
Why is meditation so beneficial to the human body? Regardless of the problem of monasticism, as long as the legs are rolled up and the fingers are folded together, the work of the heart will be alleviated. Our heart is a helper, shrinking and relaxing at any time. When hands are put together with legs, the function of human limbs to consume radiation is reduced, and the heart can work slowly, so meditation is mostly used for later monasticism. There are more than 90 kinds of meditation postures, and sitting cross-legged is better, but you should also define your posture.
At present, there is only one hand tactic commonly used in Taoist meditation. Taoism is used to calling it a knot taiji diagram, which is held by one yin and one yang. Taiji handprints are actually tantric handprints. Tantric has many handprints. The truth of handprint is sign language, which is used to communicate with buddhas, bodhisattvas and accomplished people. This is also a big mystery. Therefore, although the posture of hands, body and legs during meditation is a pattern, strictly speaking, everyone is different, which is related to the qi pulse and endowment of his body, so we should understand this truth.

As long as we are quiet, there will be swelling, pain, soreness, numbness, itching, cold and heat, and these phenomena will all come. You have these phenomena when you sit up. This is the initial movement of the qi pulse. In other words, when you are calm, no matter how good or bad you feel, it is because your heart is calm that the angry reaction comes. Your meditation legs are sore and numb, which means that although you are in your twenties, your life has been dead for ten years. On the other hand, all your problems, polluted air, have come out. Meditation slowly knocks down your turbid qi, so you are sour, numb and swollen, which is a good thing and a good phenomenon. What should I do if this feeling comes? As long as you stare at it, this place will exist.
When I was young, I was a beginner in meditation. I couldn't stand sitting cross-legged. Teacher Yuan told me: Be patient, endure more, suffer more and work less. Since I can resign, I'll put up with it. I can't stand sitting cross-legged, but I have to endure it because I am competitive and afraid of embarrassment. Later, in order to surrender these two legs, I lived in a temple and practiced my legs alone in the sutra depository. This is also a mental exercise. I crossed my legs and tried my best to ask the Bodhisattva for help in my heart. It took about five or six days. It really hurts! You can't even surrender this leg, but you have to surrender its heart? A few days later, I bent down with pain. Suddenly, my legs went soft with a click, and my legs were limp. I don't want to sit down, so I'm comfortable. My monk friend thought below that the man in the attic hadn't heard him knock on the door and send someone to deliver food all day. Is there a problem? I shouted at the bottom because I was too comfortable to answer. This frightened the monk, so I quickly asked someone to climb up. When I saw me sitting there, I just didn't answer, but was thinking.
What does this mean? Pain, swelling, numbness and cold are also a kind of life instinct. If there is a little reaction, there will be a little shadow. No matter good reaction or bad reaction, we should pay attention to it. Don't add the current knowledge, tantric and Taoist kung fu, and lead the pulse to the root of life. If you lead it, you are finished. Not only can't reach the pulse, but it can even lead to various problems (especially for women, isn't there such a thing as pulse? If you do it well, you will have laid the foundation in seven days. There is such a thing as a pulse. However, if you don't care about the pulse, don't care about the big four and the big four, the pulse will be successful. After success, it is common to get rid of illness and prolong life, not surprising, and it is probably not difficult to rejuvenate!
