What is the use of setting the lower seal coat on asphalt pavement?
Function:

(1) Interlayer connection can effectively connect the surface layer and the base layer with the permeable layer after adding the lower seal layer.

(2) Increasing the continuity between stories can transfer loads more effectively.

(3) The sealing layer is arranged under the asphalt surface layer, which enhances the waterproof ability of the pavement.

(4) After paving the lower seal coat, friction and adhesion will be generated between layers, which will prevent the movement and undertake the bonding and transition tasks between rigidity and flexibility, so that the surface layer and the base layer can jointly resist the load, thus achieving the purpose of improving the overall strength of the pavement.

(5) Take on temporary traffic, protect the grassroots, and have a health-preserving effect on the grassroots.

Fog seal coat and reducing agent seal coat

This kind of seal coat is to spray atomized emulsified asphalt or special regenerant on the aging asphalt pavement (the special regenerant needs to penetrate into the pavement about 6cm), and its purpose is to update and restore the oxidized asphalt paste on the pavement surface.

Features: It takes a long time to open to traffic after construction, and the spraying amount per unit area must be strictly controlled. Excessive spraying will form a film on the road surface, which will make the road surface lose friction resistance. If necessary, sand should be spread to improve its anti-sliding ability. For the above reasons, fog seal and reducing agent seal are usually mainly used in roads and parking lots with small traffic flow and slow speed.
