How to maintain Dendrobium officinale in home potted plants?
First: heat preservation

The growth environment of Dendrobium candidum likes high temperature and high humidity, and the most suitable growth temperature for potted Dendrobium candidum is about 25℃-30℃. When the temperature is lower than 5℃, it will stop growing and start dormancy. If the temperature is too high, it will stop growing when it exceeds 35℃. Therefore, pay attention to antifreeze when the temperature is too low, and move indoors in winter to keep its environment above 0℃. When the temperature is too high, pay attention to sun protection and move to a cool and ventilated place.

In addition, it is necessary to maintain a large temperature difference between day and night during wintering. If the temperature difference is small, it will seriously affect the growth and flowering of Dendrobium candidum.

Second: moisture

The growth of Dendrobium candidum likes to have enough water, but it should not be too wet. If it is too wet, it will affect the growth of Dendrobium candidum root system and may even lead to death. Water should be poured every 2-3 days in summer and autumn, and every 10- 15 days in winter. Water should be poured thoroughly to allow fresh air to enter the substrate. Wait until the humidity of the substrate reaches 30% to 40% before watering. Never put a water tray under potted plants to prevent water from rotting the roots. As long as the substrate remains dry and not dry, it is moist and not stagnant.

The quality of the water to be poured should be slightly acidic, and the PH value of the water should be around 6.0. Convenient operation is tap water, standing for 1-2 days, watering, or watering with rainwater and purified water.

Third: humidity

Dendrobium candidum is suitable for high humidity environment, the most suitable humidity is 60-75%, and the lower limit of humidity is 30%. In rainy weather, when the humidity is above 90%, ventilation should be strengthened to prevent diseases.

In addition, in the sunny and dry season, it is necessary to spray water around the potted plants to increase the humidity of the air. In the rainy season, when the air humidity is relatively high, there is no need to spray water, but there should be no water in the basin.
