Huiguang lay man (487 ~ 536), also known as Huiguang, was born in Dingzhou (now Dingxian County, Hebei Province). At the age of thirteen, he entered Luoyang with his father, was accepted as a disciple by Batuo, and soon became a monk in Shaolin Temple. Later, he annotated and printed the Buddhist scriptures translated by Barto, and was called "Saint Misha" because he got information from studying Buddhism and thoroughly taught others. Postscript of Tuofa Buddhism and Hinayana Zen, he also annotated the Buddhist scriptures such as Huayan Sutra, Nirvana Sutra and Vimalakīrti Sutra. Huiguang is not only good at Hinayana Zen, but also has a lot of research on Lv Zong and Hua Yanzong, and he is a master of Lv Zong. Huiguang later went to Luoyang, Anyang and other places to preach Dharma, and became famous all over the world. His disciples, Monk Da, Tan Yin and Fa Sheng, are also famous for spreading Buddhism, and are called Ten Virtues, also known as "Ten English".
