Crocodile meat contains unsaturated fatty acids with high protein, low fat and high nutritional value, a variety of essential amino acids and trace elements, and also has the effects of nourishing, eliminating dampness, moistening lung and nourishing qi and blood.
It has good medicinal value for chronic cough, asthma and rheumatism, and can be made into soup for diet therapy. However, crocodiles belong to national protected animals. Because of its rich nutritional and medicinal value, many countries have begun to cultivate crocodiles artificially. Crocodiles cultivated in China are Siamese crocodiles, which are edible varieties of artificial crocodiles.
Precautions for crocodile meat
First, patients with pulmonary tuberculosis should avoid eating fish (crocodile meat) when taking medicine.
Second, bleeding patients should not eat more fish (crocodile meat), because fish contains eicosahexaenoic acid, which can inhibit platelet aggregation and aggravate bleeding symptoms. It is best to eat less or not to eat fish.
Third, gout patients should not eat fish (crocodile meat). This is because gout is caused by purine metabolism disorder in human body, which is mainly manifested as hyperuricemia (high uric acid content in blood), recurrent arthritis and kidney damage.
